You get what you pay for: excellent, but not cheap
This headlamp is absolutely superb on all levels. Granted, it is a bit bulky, and it's certainly not cheap. But the battery life is excellent. I have used it almost nightly to walk the dogs :) for the last 2 months now. Have it on for about 20 to 30 min each walk, mostly on low and medium, but intermittently on high and turbo. It just now went down one dot (out of 4) on the battery indicator. So, I am certain it would work well as a battery bank as well (which it's advertised for). The light strength and throw are also great. But what I like the most is the user-friendliness of its controls. Instead of having to cycle through all settings to reach the desired level, it has a turn switch that allows you to go up and down at will. This is true for both, the long throw settings and the flood settings. And with a push of the same switch, you can add either to either. Very cool and functional. So, five stars on everything. This isn't my first Fenix brand light, and it won't be my last one.

Great headlamp
This thing is a beast. Lasts along time. And will light up the darkest of dark. Is a bit heavy and can get a little warm but for the light and time it works. Its worth it. 220 is a lot of money for a headlamp but if you need 1 for your job that is reliable and bright enough to light whatever. The weight is worth it. It will last days before a recharge. Honestly a great light. Iโve had workers with me using there headlights and mine blew them away.

Awesome tool for SAR
I bought this for my daughter who works SAR for the park service. Apparently, it's been the envy of the whole crew. a bit heavy for back packing I would guess but the battery life on the lower (most useful) settings is phenomenal in comparison to my brand name work headlamps.

Very bright and comfortable.
It is so hot here in the deep South that I do little projects around the outside of the house and the yard at night. Don't use gas equipment as to not bother anyone but battery tools are OK. With the flood LEDs on I can see everything around me very well. With the spot light LED I can easily see everything on our 1.5 acre lot. With all LEDs on, well, it is plenty bright. Other makes will have all the LEDs come on but for a short time and then turn off, not this model. Caution: when in Turbo - all LEDs on - it gets hot! Tonight I was spray painting some lawn furniture, shepherd staffs and bird feeders without any problems. Comfortable to wear and the battery pack is not to heavy. A little pricy compared to others but I think it's worth it. This headlamp is made for Search & Recue, which I am not part of because of heart problems, but for chores and projects around the house and yard at night this is perfect.

Excellent for work or play
I bought this for working nights in the railroad but also use it for caving trips. Excellent light output and battery life. Very high quality, like all Fenix products.

BEST, BRIGHTEST HEADLAMP ON THE MARKET..Addendum
Please Note: THIS ADDENDUM WAS WRITTEN DAYS AGO, NOT JUNE 22. 2022. My first review was of a Fenix model not made anymore. It appears on the Fenix site that this model is the brightest now sold by Fenix. I also have this model as well and love it, given my review of the "wrong" model prior. I am assuming my complaints on the prior model reviewed were not the only ones. Sadly, mine was recently stolen or lost. I put in "Fenix, deals and coupons", and paid $185.00+ on the Fenix site. I learned to do this from a friend with every product I buy now (I have a huge Amazon "subscribe and save" for monthly purchases), so need to save where I can. Last year, I saved over $1500.00 doing this during the holidays. Some companies only have a presence on Amazon. Others want to sell direct, so I always check. Someone asked in June if the battery was too heavy. It is not, and I want the brightest light I can wear to train dogs at night on wooded trails...with grizzly bear spray. I also wear a lighted vest and dogs wear lighted leashes I purchased from Amazon. I look like a moving Christmas tree, but it works for me! If you use a Flexi like I do, Amazon sells lighted collars and extenders for the Flexi, which I purchased as well.

Not worth the price
Dial on headlight broke in less than a year very bright but don't last. I've had 3 different models everyone of them broke within a year fenix don't last and way to high of a price!

Great light, good battery life, problematic switch
The light output and battery life are excellent. This is the go-to headlamp for when we do pressure washing and softwashing at night time. I'm having to deduct 2 stars for the problematic rotary switch. I get about a month of nightly use out of these before the switch begins acting up or completely failing. You'd think they know about this issue and for the price point they'd fix the issue or go to a different style switch.
