Been using cheap HF, cam style bar clamps, forever. These are about the same price and quality, but have the multi plate style. Seem to work really well. but..... As another reviewer said, the blades are in upside down. No biggie. Took 5 min and flipped em. EDIT: After a week. Using on clean 1/2 black iron pipe. Even after sanding em shiny, can't move em easily. Hit the plates with a pencil grinder (not much) and seems to work well now.

These things are great. I saw the other reviews and noted their complaints. Most of their complaints I saw as whining from inexperienced people. The other complaints were miniscule and easily overcome for the significantly cheaper price. I found no issues at all with mine and have put them through several grueling applications and they have been great. Much better than some of the ones i have from the box xtores.

Great stuff for clamps and sturdy have to tread the ends so I can make them longer if needed and the will last

Bought these to use for woodworking projects.

I bought these because of the positive reviews, but I was quickly disappointed. I didn't mind the rough machining or the cheap paint job. They simply slip off the pipe when any pressure is applied. I tried three of them, and none were good. FYI, I use a different brand on the same pipes without an issue, so the problem is definitely these clamps.

they are very hard to work, one of the handles broke off , I have to use pliers to get them to move , sorry I bought them

Not really the equivalent of Bessey clamps since the feet do not extend the same amount to gain clearance from your fabrication surface to rotate the screw handle. The feet not as stable also. However, a set could be placed over the top of your glue-up with 2 or 3 Bessey clamps below establishing level. Pressure should be fairly well distributed horizontally and vertically across the whole glue-up that way. Use home-made cauls across the top and sides as well for a perfectly stable and tight-fitting job. On the clearly positive side too, these clamps perfectly accommodate Bunnings 20mm gal pipe which gave a perfect fit on the Bessey clamps. Since these gal pipes (not the tubes) are threaded BOTH ends, longer ones can be cut in half (or at any length) for smaller jobs. Altogether then, good value when compared to Bessey's clamping parts which have to be sent from US via Amazon. Good value on Prime when the discount applies.

As others have said, its "feet" are very short. My set arrived with the clutch inserted the wrong way, so the long end was sticking out the bottom, making it impossible for them to stand on their own. However, it was easy enough to remove them and reinsert them the right way. Having done this, they still wobble a little when standing on their own. I will use this for clamping boards from above

You should be aware that these clamps come with a thread, so an unthreaded pipe WILL NOT FIT all the way through. I overcame this problem using teck screws. I find the unthreaded type more versatile
