I recently completed my DIY shower enclosure. A large glass section needed more support to keep from wobbling. As this was my first attempt at this sort of a project I decided to wait until the basic install was complete to better understand my needs. Yes, ultimately the large glass section needed support. I shopped around but found this support bar for about a third of the price as one from a major brand. I have to say the installation went smoothly and the shower bar looks wonderful. I would highly recommend this product as it looks great and seems to be of high quality.

I did not screw this into the wall but use it as a brace, at times I do have to readjust but it's very easy to take down, clean around and re-adjust it afterwards. I have a glass panel that is about 12 inches that just does not stay tight so had to add this to keep it firm in place for the door to close against.No more frameless shower doors for me due to the poor instability of the frameless shower door but this thing saved me from ripping it all out prematurely.

I have a 3/8" glass panel that is 4.5 ft long,. Wanted to stabilize as it does tend to move a lot. This bracket was to be installed to resolve this issue. The bracket that clamps to the glass comes with a plastic gasket that fits between the glass and the Inverted U channel clamp. Without the gasket the metal bolts would clamp directly on the glass and would probably shatter the glass. With the gasket in place the U channel does not fit onto the glass. Returned it the day after I received it. Now shopping for a 1/2" bracket which some venders show but when reading the details it reveals that it only fits 3/8". Didnt think this would be this hard to find.
