Jeeves Wine Preserver - Wine Saver Vacuum Pump and 2 Stoppers

I've never owned a wine preserver pump before, so I have nothing to compare this product to and can only rate it based on its performance.The pump itself is simple and easy to use, it seems like solid, quality construction and like it will last for a long time. The included stoppers are made of a firm rubber material that seems like it'll hold up for awhile, but I have a feeling may break down over time.The pump and one of the included stoppers work exactly as described, creating a solid vacuum in the bottle and holding the seal for days at a time. So far, no matter how long I've left that stopper in a bottle, when I have opened it I have heard the release and air hissing back into the bottle as-expected. The second stopper, however, doesn't work reliably.With the second stopper, it is difficult to achieve an air-tight seal, and despite a lot of pumping and trying to re-position the stopper, it only seals and maintains vacuum about one time in four, and even then it only works for a day or two. There is clearly something wrong with the second stopper.Although I have not done so yet, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up some extra stoppers if you want to seal a couple of open bottles at a time. From my experience, the stoppers just aren't reliable--some work and some don't. I got two stoppers with my preserver pump and one works great, the other one is a pain to get to work, and will release its seal without you knowing. That's a 50% failure rate.

I got two of these for my girlfriend and I in hopes of finding a nice house warming gift for her. The feasible price and looks made sold me. I was even happier once I recevied my product so quickly! The pump itself is sturdy and has now passed the test of saving the leftover wines from the Bachorlette party! Super awesome save for us girls. We now get to enjoy our still fresh wine this weekend. The toppers were also a strong, durable rubber which I loved. This has been a great quality product thats both afforadable and useful! Definitely recommend.

This is a great product. Easy to use and effective - you can feel the air getting sucked out so you know it works.I think this will make a great 50th birthday pressie for most of my friends! (or 40th, 30th, 25th, 21st, 18th)! Love it!!!By the way, it also came with a Good Wine Guide which is always a great reference book to have.

I read several reviews before making the purchase. This vacuum pump does what they say. It preserves left-over wine for days. Great tool, provides a great vacuum and the rubber stoppers provide the seal needed to save the wine. One stopper was defective and I contacted Emily at Dunloor and she quickly replaced it, no hassle, fast shipping. Trustworthy people!

My battery operated wine saver finally died. While it was convenient & took little effort, I was often replacing batteries. This wine preserver had great reviews so I took a chance. It is easy to use and keeps the wine fresh. The amount of wine I drink every week varies-sometimes it is 3-4 glasses and other times 0-3. There are times I open a bottle, but don't finish it until the next week. I always hear a loud pop when I remove the plug, so I know it does the job. I would recommend this set without hesitation.

This wine preserver works perfectly. It sucks out the air quickly and keeps it out. Other products have limited power. This one is very powerful. Another great feature is, you can use it on more than one bottle at a time, because it has extra bottle stoppers. We are really pleased.

We have used a competitor's wine saver vacuum for may years, and decided to try a new one. The vacuum pump failed to work even once. It was 100% waste of money. We want to warn others not to buy this product.

This works very well for me... I've tested on heavy reds with great results and have recommended these to friends. I live alone and now am much more likely to pop a cork for a one-person meal, knowing that the wine will remain stable and usable.
