Review: Easy to set up good quality product - Good price and product Review: great for kids - As a father of 3 kids I wanted a bedside safe that would keep them out and still provide me with my handgun at arms length and ready for anything. This safe is just what i was looking for. It isn't fire proof or crowbar proof but for keeping the curious little ones away it works great. The buttons work with any were from 3 to 6 button pushes and you can make them combo pushes (2 buttons at a time),makes for a huge amount of usable sequences, so the combo can not be easily guessed. Has enough room for 2 full size handguns and a couple boxes of ammo. Breaths so guns wont sweat in the box. Easy to program. So far it has worked perfect only down side is that the battery compartment is a little hard to get to but i can see why they did that is to give max room for other things. When I considered buying the GV1000 a couple years ago, I thought about getting this bigger one (GV2000), but didn't. Wish I had! Now I am using the GV2000C-DLX and will probably sell my GV1000. I have this bolted down next to my bed. It easily would hold 4 handguns without them touching. One thing the description isn't clear about, is the "DLX" version comes with a AC power adapter. You still should put the 8 AA batteries in it in case of power failure though (Batteries not included). I find this to be fairly strong gun box. I suppose a determined bad guy could break in if he worked at it. However, my bigger concern is grandkids, other visiting children, and "nosey" others. This will most certainly keep them out. Good price ($122), free shipping, and I feel a quality product. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again! UPDATE: I have had this safe for about 6 weeks now. So far, so good. No issues. I open it nearly everyday without any problem.
