I got this to bring to concerts to get concert posters and it easily fit three 18x24” high quality posters rolled up with no problem. I recommend and would buy again, although, I think this will last a very long time

I travel for Pearl Jam concerts and purchase posters from each show. They are usually 18 x 24”, but sometimes narrower, sometimes longer. Sometimes it’s outside and sometimes it rains. Sometimes I have a seat and can slide this tube under it, but more often it’s GA and I’m standing in the pit. Whatever the circumstance, this tube is da bomb dot com! Why, you ask? Well, it’s adjustable lengthwise per your needs. Has little round pegs and holes for you to set the length, and it stays in place. It’s durable - because it’s adjustable, it’s built like a tube that slides over another tube, so your stuff is well protected and doesn’t get bent. It’s hard plastic and the lid screws on tight, so it’s WATERPROOF! And the carrying strap is narrow and light (and also adjustable), so it’s easy to wear crossbody comfortably. Like for hours, comfortably. Like, it’s so comfortable that my husband OFFERS to carry it/wear it for me! Oh, and I have rolled up t-shirts I’ve bought and slid them in here too! I love this darn thing. (By the way, no one gave me anything or paid me to write this review. It cracks me up when I read those reviews and people are reviewing something they got for FREE. Ha! I paid full price for this sucker. No coupons, no discounts, no gift cards, no Amazon balance. Worth every cent.) Peace and love.

I ordered this particular model because I needed 51.5" minimum. The overall 53" length is in the fully extended position and is the outside measurement. When fully extended and locked, this model is not likely suitable for airline travel, but for vehicle travel and storage it will definitely fit most uses. When locked at less than the full extension, there is more overlap between the tubes and hence, more rigidity. I'm using this tube to store rigid whip-style radio antennas called ham-sticks. Each pair of stick antennas will go inside a lenth of foam pipe insulation, and with three pairs, the three foam inserts will fit nicely in this tube. Obviously a very specific use. One thing I did as a margin of safety is wrap the joint where the tubes lock with several wraps of gaffer's tape. This eliminates most flexing and adds rigidity. Buying this tube was actually less expensive than buying the PVC pipe, caps, etc to make my own antenna carrier!!

Great tube to contain a long document.At first it is hard to make the extension stay at the desirable length, but once you understand how to lock it, it is perfect.

These work just as described however it is true that they are flexible so will not stay locked in position ... So what i did was put a 4 inch X 36 inch cardboard mailing shipping tube inside (which accommodates my trekking poles) that solves the crush problem & then used packing tape to hold extended tube locked in place. Easy peesy 😃

Product states up to 53 inches, it is short by 2.5 inches

Good for a poster. Not forAir travel. Wall thickness too thin to protect anything but paper.
