Will these pads fit on a 5 inch polisher?

Only if the polisher has the 5/8" -11 thread.

Does anyone have a problem with the threaded insert not fitting the 5/8-11 ar like described?

no problem with the fit, but a problem with the pad on the wheel moving

What is the best RPM for rock polishing and are they better being used wet or dry

I use a 4-1/2" grinder, rpm is around 6,000. I do Dry polishing, and these pads were very unsatisfactory, I threw them away
