Adorable but tall
My daughter is just a little over the recommended height for this bike and was WAY too big for her previous bike, she cannot reach the ground when she is in the seat at the lowest setting because she has short legs and a long torso. She doesn't care though, LOVES riding this and the training wheels keep her confident. She actually likes pulling it out and watching TV on it (small apartment in NYC). It is sturdy, adorable and she will definitely be able to grow into it, great value!

Nice bike by today's standards
This bike arrived yesterday and comes mostly assembled. You just have to attach the front tire, handlebars, seat, and pedals. The bike went together easily within 15 minutes. The review complaining about the seat support (sissy bar) not fitting onto the axle shaft assembled it wrong. It connects to the frame on each side as shown in the picture. This is a beautiful bike much like those of the 1960s and 70s. Although it has the Schwinn name, it IS made in China, but is nicer than the average China kids bikes at the big box stores.I recommend adding the Sunlite Mini Willow Bushel Basket - White. Also, it doesn't come with a kickstand, but I took one off an old bike and it works great once you get rid of the training wheels.

Bent, backwards, and broken.
This is the first review I've ever left. This bike had paint peeling off of it in multiple places. Multiple dents. The handle bar was assembled backwards and upside down. The fender was so bent and dented straight out of the package that the rear wheel rubbed on it and would hardly turn. It looked dingy and was dirty. Returned it. Disappointing, because this bike was so darn cute and I really wanted to give it as a gift.

Something New
This bike is amazing for my daughter (4yrs old). I was trying to find her the perfect bike and this one just caught my eye. Its the only bike that looks different from all of her friends bikes. Something different and unique. Easy to put together, I didn't put it together my husband did. But only took him like 15 min. My daughter reaches the pedals easily handles adjust for her size along with the seat. A little pricey but well worth the $.

Super Awesome Cool once you tweak it
QC at factory was poor. Had to buy this bike a second time as the first had a bad seat and original seller expected us to wait two months for a possible replacement. Went thru Amazon the second go round and they were FANTASTIC!As for the bike itself, it is very good quality. . It is at the top of the "Super Awesome Cool" scale according to our six year old granddaughter, Photos don't do it justice. The paint is exceptional, with subtle metal flake and hints of pearl. The streamers are ribbon, not plastic strips. The reason for four stars is manufacturing quality control.Purchased this bike expecting to need to adjust bearings before use (common with most every bike mass-produced in China). If you are unsure or unable to do this, or don't know someone who is, you would be best served purchasing an assembled bicycle. Every bearing set was far too tight, save the headset which was so loose (1/8" clearance, no, I am not exaggerating) so as to make it unsafe. All of these things are simple fixes. The rear seat holes on the first bike were over 1" misaligned, which made assembly impossible. The replacement bike did not have this issue.Getting the gooseneck into the headset was kind of challenging; backing the wedge nut completely off to the bottom of the lock bolt solved the issue.Have read reviews complaining of the "difficulty" with assembly. You will need correct wrenches (an adjustable wrench isn't going to work well, if at all). They are two 10mm, one 13mm, one 15mm and a 17mm, all of the combination variety. You can easily find a set of metric wrenches for less than $15 which will work if you don't own some already. This went together very easily, and if you have basic knowledge of bicycle mechanics it is a breeze to assemble. Look at the photo if you are unsure. The sissy bar does not slide over the axle like most of us are accustomed to. It mounts on two 6mm bolts which thread into the rear drop out. That's why the sissy bar holes are "too small". The only parts that need to be installed are the front wheel, handlebars/gooseneck, front fender, seat and training wheels.

Granddaughter loves this bike!!
My granddaughter just loves the bike we bought her. It is so colorful and very easy for her to ride. I love the fact that it will last awhile, as you can adjust the seat and remove the wheels. I always wanted a Schwinn bike as a child, so it warmed my heart to be able to give her one. I love the banana seat!! Would highly recommend this bike!!

Hell to assemble, but a nice bike.
First off, once successfully assembled, this bike has been great. That being said, the assembly process was miserable. No documentation came in the box at all. Even after lots of Internet sleuthing, and finding the "right" assembly instructions, there was no manual available that said how to install the sissy bar. Be sure to remove the seat before you install it, and let the seat slide up and down where it needs to be in order to get the nuts for the sissy bar tightened down. The only other gripe is that the stickers, while super cute, are poorly placed (some crooked), and some are already scratched and/or peeling off.Our daughter loves the bike, but she'll never quite appreciate how long I stayed up trying to put it together two days before Christmas!

Adorable!!
Super cute, easy to put together. It is a heavy bike though, heavier than most. My 5 yr. old is tall so this bike size is good, but the heaviness makes it a little hard for her to control. I think this will last for several years. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.
