Donner Bluetooth Page Turner Pedal for Tablets and Phones Rechargeable Wireless Foot Pedal, Silver

Just purchased. Seems to operate as advertised. Intuitive easy setup. Solid, silent,dependable . Connects through Bluetooth. Basic page-turning functionality is intuitive but read the directions because the tool has many functions beyond that.

It's great so far. I've been using it a couple of months. It turns pages silently and quickly, is easy to feel for with your feet, doesn't slip, connects easily. To use the on-screen keyboard when it's connected to your tablet press both pedals simultaneously and the keyboard will come up. Press both again to hide it. The battery lasts almost forever. The page turner goes to sleep after a while, maybe 15 minutes or so, but pressing a pedal wakes it up again. There is a slowly blinking light when connected which might be annoying to some. It's nice to know that you're connected though, and if you want to hide it during, say, a concert, a little piece of electrical tape over the light will do the job.

Game changer for a regularly gigging musician. Battery life is great, works well. Only a couple minor complaints, it tends to slide on smooth floors, that can be easily fixed by adding something with some grip to the underside. Secondly I've had a few times when instead of scrolling down it would flip to the next "page" / "song" and then I'd have to do a tap dance to try to find your way back to the song you were on. Musicians - I highly recommend using this with the "Songbook Pro" app. It makes adding new songs and creating setlists insanely quick and easy.

Reading through Donner's instruction sheet, there's no mention as to whether or not the power switch should be in the on or off position when charging the device. When I turned the power switch to the on position, the device appeared to turn on (with it not connected to the charger), and a green LED started to blink intermittently. I charged the unit and paired it to my iPad with no difficulty. I have tons of lead sheets of jazz charts, standard tunes, etc. located in my iCloud drive under various folders. I also have classical pieces, some of which span multiple pages. I initially loaded a PDF book of five Villa Lobos Préludes into the iPad's default PDF reader. The pedal was unresponsive; the pages didn't turn. I then went back to Donner's instruction sheet and read that if the pages didn't turn, they listed recommend apps. One of the apps listed is ForScore. A singer I know who sings in a classical choral group mentioned that her choir music director uses ForScore, so I went to the App Store and downloaded ForScore. I had to import the PDF book of préludes into ForScore, but afterwards, the pedal recognized the app and it worked beautifully. Pressing the up and down pedals, I was able to go from page to page and piece to piece. I also opened the same book in the iPad's Acrobat Reader version. This also worked, but the pages weren't framed exactly as they were in ForScore. The pages started somewhere in the middle. I will try some of the other apps, and compare/contrast. Since a lot of my scanned music consists of lead sheets that are one or two pages (i.e., standard tunes), I want to be able to just open each file in a very simple i.e., PDF reader that I'm going to be able to 'pedal' from one page to the other. For me, that would be the most time efficient work flow when I'm on the bandstand and need to load a tune very quickly (without the complexity of a more advanced app which requires a process of importing a 'score.' To me, it's just loading sheet music like I have always done, but now with the convenience of the page turner pedal. All and all, the Donner pedal feels quite good when I press it with my foot. It has an accurate feel to it. Apologies for my inexperience with electronic page turning, as this is the first time I've used this type of device. I'm sure I'll straighten out my relationship with it (hopefully over the next several days). If anybody has input, insights, etc., I would welcome comments.

I'm giving the Donner pedal 5 stars because it works.... when I remember the rules of how to use it with the Ultimate Guitar app. I was really frustrated in the beginning and blamed the pedal, but after learning these things, the pedal works as intended -> because I know how to use it with Ultimate Guitar (the app I use for looking up chords and tabs). Here is what I learned: 1. It won't work with "Official chords" - so I must remember to download the "user submitted chords" version of the song into my app/playlist for the pedal to work. 2. Obviously, make sure your device has Bluetooth on and that it's connected to the pedal. 3. In Ultimate Guitar, FIRST select the chord sheets you want to use, then make them a "favorite" (mark the red heart so it's solid) so you can easily find it on your playlist. With #4 below, you'll understand why you want to do this. 4. In the main Ultimate Guitar settings page, (first click on the little gray button with the UG logo on it, then on the next screen the Settings button looks like a solid hexagon with a hole in it in the upper right corner if using an iPad) you'll see an option for "Pedal Interface". Go there, and at the bottom of the page you'll see "AirTurn Settings." Go there, and select "Keyboard." This is the setting the Donner pedal needs to talk to UG. But this also means that you can't look up songs by typing the title into the search bar, because your keyboard won't work now. That's why you need to select and mark "favorite" the songs you want to play, so you can select them on your favorites list by tapping on them, and then you can use the pedal to scroll up and down. 5. If you need to use the keyboard function, you have to go back to the AirPlay settings and switch it off of "Keyboard." Then when you're done needing to type, switch it back and the pedal will work again. I hope this saves you from all the frustration I had to go through, and now you can be effective with your Donner pedal when using Ultimate Guitar. Also, online info says other apps like SongbookPro or MobileSheets are friendlier to the pedal.

I’ve had this page turner for a few years now and it’s never failed on me. I gig often and the battery holds a charge forever. I just bought a second one because I actually lost my charger for the first one and I can’t find a charging cable that matches the older model. The battery is still going though, but it’ll be good to have a backup! It alway connects to my iPad and is easy to use. I also like that the Bluetooth flashing connected light is very minimal and not overly distracting.

Works well with ipad

So far been using the Donner for about a week- 3 concerts. Got it as a backup to our 2015 AirTurn Duo 106 pedals, which have been dropped so many times there are plastic bits missing. So far the Donner has been a champ. It’s about the same size as the AirTurn, just a little thicker and more of an arc on the bottom, which I think makes the response more stable on all surfaces. The AirTurn is flat and often on thicker carpet or grass would not be reliable- sometimes turning multiple pages at once. The Donner has a more substantial pedal feel as well- like driving a German car rather than a go cart. The on/off switch is much easier on the Donner- just a switch. On my AirTurn the button has to be held down for a mysterious but exact number of seconds to turn it off, with the result that I was often unpairing my pedal. (My duo partner’s AirTurn did not have this issue) we do not use any of the other functions aside from turning pages back and forth so I can’t comment on that. Also since we have only been using it a week I can’t comment on battery life but it’s been great this week. Overall super happy with this pedal- small size, great feel, sturdy, easy to use, even easier to pair with your device. It will replace our AirTurns as the main pedal!

It is easy to use, silent and responsive. There is is almost no noise when you step on it thus no disturbance to your music. It is a bit expensive comapring with similar products on Taobao, but the quality of this pedal stands out.

El empaque llegó en excelente estado y además, se ve mucho más elegante y bonito en persona. Altamente recomendado!

色んなものがあって困っていました。私は、重視した点は、脚が悪くしっかり踏んだのがはっきりわかる方が良かったのと、反応良すぎて誤作動で沢山のページをめくってしまうとか嫌なので、それが無くて安心です。 あと、ペダルが広めなので踏み間違いもなく段差が無いから右左の踏む移動も楽で、音も気になりません。ロングドレス、ハイヒール、スニーカーであっても、全く困らず快適です。 あと、充電出来るので、電池の補充や、残量の心配がありません。 とにかく、値段は安くとても良いです(^^♪

I use this with the ForScore app for turning pages on my iPad while playing piano. My AirTurn Bluetooth page turner started becoming unreliable after several years of good service, and I made the disastrous mistake of following the company's instructions on how to fix it. The Donner page turner pedal - at less than half the cost - seems to be a perfect replacement., with the additional advantage of not having to activate it each time I open the app. I also like the slightly larger foot pedals - so far, it works admirably and I'm delighted to have it.

I did some research on what would be the best turner pedal to get for my Ipad using the Forscore app, and decided to get this on numerous reviews and recommendations. Appeared to be a bit more expensive than the cheaper counterparts which to be fair also had decent reviews. But I decided to get this one, as I felt it could be more intuitive and easier to figure out and there were far more instructions on how to use this on You Tube then any other pedal turner. Proved right, it paired beautifully straight away. The on switch appears a little delicate , so should be handled with care. Otherwise, I'm really pleased I got this, will be a game changer for performances.
