Come on, really? It's bad enough that the African American dolls have pretty much Caucasian features, but blue eyes? I'm so disappointed in the Beverly Hills doll collection. I invested in these dolls for my practice (I am a child therapist) because they were jointed at both the knee and the hip (yes this I like), and had ethnic dolls. I spent extra money to buy the Caucasian dolls that had different clothes and hair than the African American dolls, because I noticed that the AA dolls had generally Caucasian features. But somehow, I did not notice that the AA dolls had blue eyes. As I have already invested in the doll houses and the doll furniture, not to mention the Caucasian dolls, I can't really change direction at this point. Looks like I am going to have to buy some brown paint and re-paint the eyes. So disappointed.

Sadly, all the dolls have blue eyes. I tried to get dolls that resemble our ethnicity. You can tell that they did nothing to represent black people but color the dolls black. I feel that they can do better.. Also, it would be nice for the company put a mixture of all ethnic races. Just saying!

They’re ugly and way over priced. But they’ll do the job I guess 🥴There was clearly no thought that went in to actually making the dolls actually look black. They’re the same white dolls but with brown skin. but for some reason cheaper??? Which seems racist in itself, but I digress... the dolls are okay. Not great. But ok.

My grandbaby was adopted into a white family. I purchased this set as well as a white set to go with the doll house I got her for Christmas. This way she can show the beauty of her new family and community.
