Excellent and stable network performance.
Using it as a main router on my Airtel 300Mbps connection. 1.Solid wired and Wifi performance. 2.Top notch firmware, AI protection security and Asus router mobile app. 3.Very easy to setup. 4.Full 300Mbps internet speed. 5. Much better than Airtel Zyxel Router.

Perfect Router for Streaming, Gaming & Work-From-Home
Future-Ready Wi-Fi 6 Router with Strong Performance! The ASUS RT-AX53U AX1800 has been a fantastic upgrade for my home network. It's a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) router, which means faster speeds, better range, and smoother performance when multiple devices are connected — and it truly delivers. The setup was simple using the ASUS Router app, and it gives you full control over network settings, guest access, and parental controls. I'm getting stable high-speed internet throughout a 2BHK home, with no dead zones. Streaming, video calls, and online gaming are all seamless. The OFDMA and MU-MIMO support makes a huge difference with multiple users. It also has a USB port, which I’m using for network storage — works like a charm! Build quality is excellent, and the router looks sleek too. ✅ Pros: Wi-Fi 6 support (future-proof) Strong and stable dual-band performance Easy setup with ASUS Router app USB port for file sharing or media server MU-MIMO and OFDMA = smooth multi-device usage Good coverage for medium-sized homes ❌ Cons: Range is solid but not massive (best for 2-3BHK homes) No wall-mount option (minor issue)

Coming from Netgear
Coming from Netgear R6220, I am quite disappointed with this router in terms of GUI functionalities. The UI is so suffocating I could barely want to hover into the tabs, Some pages display improper information. Though this is the day 1 review. I felt, Asus should have kept the GUI simple like Netgear. It feels like I am in a BIOS settings page. I understand Asus main theme is like gaming and over visuals. But for home routers, they should have made it simpler. This is my opinion. On the other hand, the device surely looks premium with its build. From far distance, the long antennas make it look quite cheap. Wifi signal is strong and I get good speeds from far ranges. Dead zones are now minimized. Security Features: If you are a tech savy, I recommend not to be fooled by the AI protection and Security features it provides. It just forwards the DNS requests to popular content inspection Servers which takes care of the Safe browsing. At the end the device is still sending the request to the external DNS servers for packet inspections. If you are tech literate, I would recommend to setup a personnel DNS server using Adgaurd/pi-hole, which are absolutely free. Overall, I would recommend this product but this might disappoint folks who are coming from Netgear. Apart from that it is a decent router.

Not a reliable router
Good router with great features. I purchased 3 of them and created a home wifi Air-mesh. Connections is not reliable. It reboots itself randomly. The main router stopped working within 6 months. I had to spend two hours to reset two of them to create new air-mesh. One more router acts weirdly sometime and kills network to certain devices now and then.

Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for Mesh
The ASUS RT-AX53U (AX1800) is a solid performer. Setup was quick and easy, and the speeds and coverage have been excellent. I ended up buying four of these to build a mesh system, and now I get stable Wi-Fi in every corner of the house. No dead zones, no random drops. Signal strength is exccelent. What makes it even better is the free built-in ASUS security features that give peace of mind when browsing, and the handy USB port that lets me connect storage or share files across devices. It’s those little extras that make it stand out. So, overall, it’s fast, reliable, and packed with useful features. If you want a dependable Wi-Fi 6 router that’s also future-proof, this is a great choice.
