The size isn’t really the issue, even though it did look a bit bigger in the photos when I bought it. The real problem here is that the batteries are in a panel on the deck of the boat that is UNSEALED. This causes water to immediately get in and within 2 seconds the boat sinks. I did get it to stay afloat in still water with absolutely no waves/undulation, though as soon as my kid got in the bath the water splashed over the side and down it went. The way the boat is designed - even if the battery compartment was sealed - is doomed for floating. The deck sinks so it is about 1/4 of a mm above the surface of the water. ANY movement at all and it capsizes. The last thing to know is that the mast very very loosely sits in a shallow hole - so any movement in or out of the water and the mast falls out. Waste of money - but luckily my son now thinks it’s a submarine.

This is a well made little battery operated toy that floats and drive itself around a bath or calm pool with an impeller drive. It is buoyant and the battery case is waterproof so this is not a picky or fragile toy. There are nice pirate ship details too such as a decorative sail and a ship's wheel.

Water gets inside every where on this bath toy, including the battery compartment. This sinks, is very small and the plastic rail around the ship breaks off super easily. My son used his own money to buy this and is very disappointed.

It is nice, but it was broke.the thing that goes around top of boat ,like a rail, was broke.

Doesn't float well, with batteries it fills with water and sinks and without the batteries it just falls over with no ballast. The sail started falling apart the minute it got wet. The motor does work great and the ship will move around great for the minute or two before it fills with water and starts to sink. Pretty cheap - don't know what they were thinking.
