I have not used it yet I just snapped some pictures to share for those interested with the box contents. We will be using this as a fun homeschool activity for December so I am not ready to use it but everything appears to be inside the box and instructions seems simple. The thickness of the animals seems to be similar to that of the thickest cardstock paper. Definitely not something to toss about like a stuffed animal more gentle play. There is a small amount of stuffing to lightly pad a few of the animals tails or bodies. My idea was to let them hang on the bottom branches of our Christmas tree.I would gift this to a child.UPDATEMy kids ages 11, 9 and 6 enjoyed this. My 6 year old helped thread his own animal which was the deer. I got them all started but my 11 and 9 year went on to complete 2 animals, needing no help with their second one.There are 4 difficulty levels, hedge hog/owl level 1, bear was the only level 2, bunny/deer level 3, squirrel/raccoon level 4 and the fox is 5. My only gripe is that the way they teach you to thread the needle caused the thread to fall out with every hole you went through. You can see how they taught it in the instructions manual picture I shared. I went ahead and taught my kids to run the thread around the needle 3x and slide the knot down because that's how I was taught. We still had enough thread to use on all the animals, doubling it. You could use whatever way you know how. Total time for a critter beyond level 1 seemed to be about 30minutes.

My grandkids enjoyed this. Ages 6 & 8. They wanted to make these for their new cousin due in December. When I got the box, an idea came to me. The background on the box made me think I could make a background for the animals and make a wall hanging. I bought some felt, cut out some felt and the kids glued all the pieces down added the animals. Came out fantastic and kids were so proud!

I purchased this for my niece for Christmas. She is just learning to sew, and she absolutely loves this kit and is very proud to show off the finished pieces. A wonderful introduction to a very valuable skill that also feeds her creativity. The easy instructions made her feel confident in creating the pieces independently. This kit is all-around a fantastic way for kids to explore and learn new skills. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be buying more in the future!

This set is the cutest one I could find and gender neutral so that both of my boys (8&9) wouldn’t mind doing it. We purchased this as a handicraft for homeschool and to my surprise they have enjoyed sewing them. It did take them a little perseverance, but they finally got the hang of it. They are top quality and the kit includes everything you need to get the job done. A great value!

Working on the first and easiest animal taught my granddaughter, and me, the best way to proceed with the sewing. She then chose the last animal, the most difficult to sew, and with a little help from me, was able to finish it nicely. The stick-on's have a paper backing that is VERY difficult to remove, even for an adult. However, the animal figures are darling. My 9 yr old granddaughter was delighted with the projects. I was pleased how everything needed was supplied in clever packaging.
