Best Wake Up Light
We use froggy to let our toddler know it’s time to get out of bed. We attached it to a timer outlet. She loves the lamp and loves waking up to it.It has helped her wake up/get up at the same day. The frog is adorable and the best investment in sleep we have found.

Ok light, but not built to last
Update--- I have to say that the manufacturer made it right. They replaced the unit and although it still has the same build materials - it has been going strong in our nursery. I added star for really good customer service.Original --This light was just ok. It is brighter than we expected. We wanted to use it to give some softer light to our girl's bedroom at night. This is almost too bright for that, but it is night bright enough to read by.I am rating it 3 stars for two reasons. One - it is made of cheap plastic. It is very light and thin. Think of the kind of plastic that some items are packaged in like razor blades. That material that is really tough to open... Same material for the lamp. The second and most important reason is that after 4 months of using the lamp, it started blinking. The light just blinks on and off. Although the bulbs are rated for 30,000 hours - I guess ours was not one of those lucky ones. We tried finding a replacement bulb and have had little luck. So - for $29, we expected a little more longevity out of this purchase.

Didn't last long at all
It's a beautiful light, I'll give it that much. Two stars for that reason. But in less than one month, the light no longer works. I tried everything to get it to work again. With 30k hours of bulb light, I doubt that's the reason for the problem. My son loves the light, even though it's too bright to use as a night light. If it wasn't for looking so nice when actually working, I'd give it only one star.

Bright, soft light and a frog design that my daughter loves.
The BeetleStar Nursery Lamp & Kid's Room Light (Frog Design) is an odd sort of item. It's the kind of thing you'd never think of needing, but ultimately surprises with its design and functionality. My daughter was absolutely delighted with the frog when I removed it from the box (wouldn't stop saying "Frog," "Frog"), just as I was surprised by what it actually was (and to be honest, a little bit disappointed...initially). The lamp itself is double-sided and made of very lightweight, flexible plastic, which I wasn't expecting, but this really proves to be a good thing as it seems durable while at the same time making the overall weight minimal (important if this is going in a child's room). The light itself, provided by a torpedo-style 4W LED bulb is rather bright, but it's a soft light, so while it illuminates your surroundings fairly well (well enough to read), it's not eye-searing, rise-and-shine kind of light (if that makes any sense). The bulb is supposedly rated for 30,000 hours, so I'm guessing it won't have to be replaced anytime soon. Power consumption is supposed to be 1/10 that of a regular bulb, so you're going to be using less power as well. BeetleStar opted for an external power supply instead of an attached power cord. The on/off switch is on the power supply cord (fairly close to where it connects to the lamp) and flips from on to off (and back) with little effort. Overall, it seems that BeetleStar put a good bit of thought into the design of this lamp. One thing that really needs to be mentioned is that the hole to access (and install) the included bulb is VERY, VERY SMALL. I don't consider myself to have huge hands, and would guess they're pretty average-sized for a guy, but there was no way whatsoever that my hand was going to fit. Fortunately, my wife's hands are a bit more dainty, and she was able to squeeze her's into the hole and screw the bulb in (in a scene that frankly reminded me of one out of the first Iron Man movie). That one minor quibble aside, the BeetleStar Nursery Lamp & Kid's Room Light ended up being a pleasant surprise for me. My daughter loves her frog and it's a nice, functional and safer alternative to a regular table lamp in your child's room.
