I recently tried this body wash, and I am really impressed with it. The formula is creamy and thick, and it creates a nice lather without producing an overwhelming amount of suds. When I use it with a washcloth, it lathers up just enough to feel cleansing but not overly soapy. After rinsing, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. One of the things I appreciate most is the scent, or rather, the lack of a strong scent. It has a very light fragrance that is almost undetectable, which I prefer. It leaves me feeling fresh without being overpowering. This body wash is especially great for those with sensitive skin. I have eczema, and my skin tends to be easily irritated by many products. However, since using this body wash, I haven't experienced any irritation at all. It’s gentle and soothing, making it suitable for others with similar skin concerns. I am so satisfied with this product that I plan to buy another bottle before I even run out. I highly recommend this body wash to anyone looking for a gentle, moisturizing option that leaves the skin feeling soft and fresh.

I have tried almost every gentle body wash available and this is the only one I can use. My skin is very sensitive to detergents that over clean. This body wash is cream-based and therefore does not produce a lot of lather. I have hard water, so it may produce more in an area with softer water. I have found that if I apply it with my hands first and then wash with a wet cloth that I do not need or miss the lather. This method also prevents me from overusing the product. My skin feels great with no dryness after showering. Cetaphil Smoothing Relief has almost the same ingredients except that it contains micro exfoliators. I have to be a little more careful with the amount of pressure I use on the cloth when using the Smoothing Relief, but it is an acceptable secondary choice. Both of these are fragrance-free and are much gentler than even Cetaphil Ultra Gentle.

After using this just a couple of times, it performs exactly as a high-quality sensitive skin wash should. The scent profile is entirely neutral and clean, lacking those typical, heavy synthetic body wash perfumes that overpower everything else. Because it doesn't leave a lingering fragrance trail, it is perfect if you like to wear your own high-end cologne or body spray without the scents clashing. It cleanses efficiently, doesn't dry out the skin, and leaves a blank canvas for your daily grooming routine. A solid, no-nonsense baseline wash.

Update - I shared this product with a friend of mine with very dry skin over the whole body. After one week of use they noticed a big improvement. Better than any other product they have tried in years of dealing with the problem. I just bought 2 more bottles for myself and was pleased to find it on sale! I am a massage Therapist. I wash my hands and forearms so many times in a work day. I had issues with dermatitis on my hands and arms for years. I had to use a steroid cream frequently for years to control flare ups. It helped but did not solve the problem and long term use of steroids can cause skin to thin. I had tried so many different soaps over the years to manage my symptoms and never found anything that actually worked, until I found Flare Up Relief Body Wash. I have a small squeeze bottle I take with me everywhere even on vacation, after I noticed I tended to have fare ups when I am away from home. It is in every hand soap dispenser in my house and in the shower. It is a great body wash for sensitive skin, but don’t limit your skin relief to just the shower!

I suffered from post scabies itch and crawling sensations for about 6-8 months. The treatment cream permethrin dried my skin badly stripping its natural oils and destroyed the skin barrier. I am extremely pleased with this product because my skin is also sensitive. This soap gives the perfect amount of lather, hydration, and cleanliness. I am not as itching and the crawling sensations minimized on day two of use. My mental health was deteriorating seriously! I recommend this soap to anyone with skin flare ups. This works really good on problematic skin. I used this to recover from a severe allergic reaction to poison ivy and it was a life saver. Provides itch relief and noticeably moisturizing skin. It has also helped my son with his eczema to smooth it out and lessen the itch. It’s finally clearing up. It’s cost efficient. I did notice that it does not lather well on wash clothes so I just used my hands to lather it onto the skin. A loofa would probably do the job. Highly recommend for people with skin issues.

I am normally a Cetaphil product fan but this is a miss for me. I don’t find it creamy, foamy, or moisturizing enough. I feel I need to use several pumps in order to get enough product to lather. It’s just very meh.
