Komfortology Baby Proofing Edge Guard 18ft, 8 Corners, Black

This is the best edge protector I have found by far! By being a plastic instead of foam, it does not create a choking hazard if chewed on. Compared to some of the other plastic edge covers this one is a softer plastic which helps to lessen impact not just round the edge. I bought this specifically because I have tables with weird shaped edges, and this covered it up perfectly. I bought another tape that would be adjustable to edges that are not 90° and included the picture of the difference. In the picture, this tape is on the left and the other edge tape on the right. The other one I bought would not bend around the edge. It was meant to be applied to the top and side separately, but would not stick properly on to the side, applying only to the top still left the edge partially exposed and if I left a lip on it too cover that a little bit more than the lip itself was pointed. None of that is an issue for this tape which cover covers the edge smoothly. I also shopped around for prices, and this was one of the best priced ones as well when considering width and thickness. It went on super easy. I also like the way it looks since I have mirror tables. I was concerned that when I had to baby proof them it would look awful but safety comes first. Happy to report this doesn’t look awful.Only thing I can’t speak to is how long it lasts since I’ve only had it on the table a short time.

I wish I knew these existed before I broke my pinky toe. We have a couch with a wood trim on the bottom and one day it was dark and my foot went right into it bam really hard and my pinky toe was never the same. I ended up at the ER when the swelling wouldn't go down and I couldn't bend or move my toe. I don't like going to the hospital (who does?) so I was putting it off all day but I remember reading that if you can't move your toes or fingers after hitting them on something it's probably broken and you need to see a doctor. Oh well, so it was broken and it took a month and a half to heal. I bought these protectors that weekend I busted my toe because I said never again! These little cushions are fine they didn't stick well to the fake wood so we added tape to so help keep it on. They function fine even with the tape, doesn't stop them from doing the job of protecting toes. I was expecting a weird chemical smell for the type of foam it is but it didn't have any smell. I was able to cover the whole bottom and still have some left over for the metal on the TV stand. I would definitely recommend this to save toes everywhere from the misery of wearing that ugly medical boot.

I bought the black color guards and overall am pretty pleased with it. The corner pieces have the tape pre-attached to them which made installation super easy. But there are only 8 corners so I’d you’re doing table edges this will only do 2 tables!! The roll installation…not so easy. I ordered this quickly to start babyproofing so it’s my fault for not looking at the entire description which clearly shows that you have to attach the tape yourself. But still…I mean seriously, why does it not come attached? Plus, why does the instruction show them putting tape only on one side of the guard when the corners have adhesive on both sides to keep it in place? That makes no sense. It should be put on both sides. But if I do that…am I going to run out of tape? Most likely. I just started today though so only time will tell. But this seems like a serious design flaw. The manufacturers should have the tape applied on both sides of the roll of guard as well as on the corner pieces. On the other hand, it does seem to do what it’s intended to do. My first location for this was on an old metal heating vent cover that sticks out about an inch into the baby’s room right where baby plays. Major hazard! I used two corner pieces and cut a strip of the regular roll to cover the entire top of the vent cover. Given that it is summertime I have no idea if it will stay once the heat kicks on this winter but it seems to be holding. It was hard to get the roll piece to lay in a straight line so it doesn’t look the best but oh well.😂 I will go more slowly on the next item to see if that helps. Overall I think the product works as intended (but baby has not fallen into it to know for sure.) it feels soft to the touch and has some give to it to cushion impact so hopefully it will work. Installation is a bit cumbersome trying to add the adhesive yourself, especially for long pieces. That’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Wow, I was not expecting this to be this good. Nice thick soft edging with adhesive tape to put on both sides inside. The tape comes off really easily, no problems there. It is great you get corners as well as the long track. The corners already have their adhesive on so you just rip off the top layer of plastic, and they fit nice and snug on 90 angle corners and come up about an inch. Strong adhesive but I did try taking one off to see if it left residue and it didn't. I used this to wrap the edges of wood tables for shipping when moving and it provides good protection, it is not thin flimsy stuff, it is good quality and thick enough to matter. For the money it is a good value.

Now that my little one is starting to pull herself up and cruise along the furniture, these edge protectors are a total lifesaver. The foam is incredibly dense and soft—it provides a real cushion if she bumps her head. What impressed me most is the adhesive; it’s strong enough to stay put even with a curious baby pulling on it, but it didn't damage my coffee table’s finish. Very easy to cut to size and install. Highly recommend for any parent baby-proofing their home!

Easy to install; works great on stone coffee table

The glue did not hold up well, it came off after a couple days of affixing it to my cabinet edges. Also it doesn’t help that it doesn’t come ready to be affixed to a surface, providing a roll of tape, and expecting the end user to accurately align the glue tape is not customer friendly at all. I won’t have bought this item if I knew. Customer should buy the bumper strip measure length needed, and cut desired length to use for proofing.

Great product, easy to install, provides protection. Doesn't seem to fade.

Suited my aim to create a more comfortable desktop edge for my arms, and also to soften a sharp corner. Product is good quality and was straightforward to apply. The profile is generous and very cushioned. Lots left over for other random purposes.
