Northfin Community Fish Food, Slow-Sinking Pellets, 1mm, 250g

I love the community fish food. It sinks a different rates allowing all fish to get some.

I needed a pellet food for my auto feeder because I had to leave on a 2 week trip. It did great in auto feeder. My fish like the food. Some of the pellets sink fast, some float for a few minutes before sinking. None seem to sink slowly.

Freshest product on the market! My fish can't get enough of them! You can see from the ingredients alone just how quality of this product is. Low starch and grain contents. Your fish will want this and only this. I'll be keeping this food handy and buying directly from their website from now on! Cons: because the product is so fresh, it really reeks. Luckily it comes in a air tight zip lock bag. Also, this is not a dump it and forget it type of food. This food sinks very fast and does not float for any good amount of time, so you'll have to feed it slowly and little bit at a time. All the more time for your fish to enjoy your company.

The food is high quality, however it sinks much too quickly even for my zebra danios to grab. I’ve tried trying to gingerly sort of set it on top, but it still sinks like a rock…

I heard a lot of people rave about how healthy this food is for your fish. Unfortunately, it could cure every disease known to fish and it wouldn't matter because my fish just can't/won't eat it. It's super hard and trying to crumble it between my fingers is impossible so no idea how the fish are supposed to eat it. It also immediately sinks to the bottom of the tanks so only bottom feeders have a real chance at it.

No issues fish would eat

My platies ate it readily, unlike another reviewer. However, my chief complaint is don't advertise something as slow-sinking when it in fact sinks significantly faster than my other pellets (Hikari Micro Pellets). The 0.5mm are also a little bigger than the Hikari Micro Pellets but I had wanted something small because I have many fry / growing platies to feed. Most of this is too big for even many of the larger fry to eat, whereas with the Hikari pellets, even the smaller platy fry can get at least some of the smaller Hikari pellets. (I also feed them bona fide fry food - Hikari First Bites for good measure, which I definitely recommend for anyone breeding, and some different flakes). So, anyway, these are just no good for me. But they shouldn't be advertised as "slow-sinking", that's false advertising to me.
