LGStylO 2 K540 Cricket Wireless Smart Phone Unlocked (Black)

The phone is good. However, :BEWARE of Cricket Wireless and their hotspot/ tethering capability with this phone.I'm very new to Cricket. When i was on their website i read that only specified phones will have mobile hotspot capability for $10 more a month if you have them as a carrier.I thought to myself "Mmm...ok, not a big deal.I spent 2 days looking at the Android's. * ON CRICKET's LIST* that they say can be a mobile hotspot. The best phone i could afford that is on that list was the LG Stylo 2.I pay. $60-$65 for service. Set the phone up. Call to add mobile hotspot for $10.What's that? You can't do it? Why not?The Stylo 2 is on the listI bought a new 3-1 Cricket SIMWHYYYY CRICKET?!? 😂I was told by customer service it is because i didn't buy the phone from Cricket.What? That's right. I bought mine on Amazon new because Cricket's site was down for repairs that evening. I actually unknowingly paid $40 more on Amazon than the Cricket site wanted new. Granted, I lucked out and bought an unlocked phone..So if you buy an LG Stylo 2 ANYWHERE other than Cricket you are not going to be able to make your phone a mobile hotspot. So says Cricket. I realize this sounds stupid. It IS stupid. Still, even though the description for this phone states Cricket Wireless .... unless you buy a Stylo 2 that is "locked into" Cricket {not this particular phone listed}, your phone isn't eligible for Cricket's Mobile Hotspot option.I'm pretty P.O'd. The phone was $165, service was $60. And i don't have what i need.Again, the phone itself is good. No complaints. Just be VERY careful with Cricket.When my plan needs to be re up'd, Cricket just lost $65 - $75 a month.There's a TON of competition as far as prepaid carriers go right now because people want to do what they want with their "unlimited" data we're paying out the a** for.I'll find another prepaid carrier.Hope this saves someone the $225 mistake i made.

best phone we have ever owned. no need for separate tablet anymore.has 16gb internal memory, is fast, good sized screen, and quick charging long lasting battery

Buy four phones and I do not know what happens when using wifi, it only works one, it's like they work on the same frequency, at home we are four and only one can use the internet, someone knows something about this

I have this phone and i love it. I am still trying to get used to the buttons on the back. The camera takes awesome pictures.

This phone is 5 stars. I am having issues with Cricket. I was with Verizon for 10 years, 4 phones, lots of apps. The only ads ran only within the app. Purchased this phone from the cricket web site. It arrived. I booted it up and the first thing I got was an ad. I try to type a message and a pop up interferes. I try to set up a nice picture (the camera is great) and an ad takes over the screen. I have uninstalled most of the apps that came preloaded some I cannot and some return when I reboot. I know some apps come with ads but these only run within the ap. This phone came with some built in ads that run anytime. I installed Norton security (which I pay for and use on other devices) It has found no security issues. Customer chat is useless. Customer service wants me to get insurance and then I can get a replacement phone. I am concerned a replacement from the same source will have the same ads. I need this phone for work everyday and cannot send it back and wait for an exchange then set up the new one. I will be out of business to be without a phone for that long. 5 stars all day if I can get rid of the ads.
