Can this work with ANY keystone jack?

Thank you for your question about our Parallel Crimping Pliers. These pliers are made to be used on keystone jacks that press conductors into the IDC connectors using a hinged closure that terminates when closed. This is often called a "toolless" jack because it doesn't require a punch-down tool to terminate it. These pliers will not be useful on jacks that use a punch down tool to terminate.

Why don't these close all the way?

This tool is designed for the specific purpose of installing our keystone jacks and field term plugs. They operate only over a range of jaw openings that are useful for that purpose. If the jaws closed to a narrower opening, the termination device would be damaged.

Nice tool nice brand

I thought I could probably just use pliers to crimp connectors and it would've been OK decided it might be worth just getting the tool. It's a nice tool good quality and so far what I've gotten from the brand so far has been nice. This did in a way make it easier for the 4 ends that I put on so far didn't leave any marks and it's just the right spacing and length that makes crimping them easy. Plus it's green so I can tell all my green tools apart from everybody else so nobody else is allowed to get green tools. I say that jokingly but I am trying to get only green tools so I can spot them and no they're mine. Unfortunately there's a certain company with green... in their name who is now selling orangely and yucky brownly colored tools and has not updated their product photos, thankfully truecable has come out with some comparable items that are actually green.
