Julep Eyeshadow 101 Crème to Powder Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick 10 Piece Palette - Matte and Shimmer Finishes

I used to love my eye shadow palettes but I’ve switched to stick eye shadow and I’ll never go back! I love not messing with an eye shadow brush. I love that on most days I can scribble it on like a kid with a crayon and it’s fine. I wear sand shimmer (the sparkliest, but not tacky / in your face sparkly) or the champagne shimmer (very subtle) basically every day. Sometimes I use one of my other (many) colors from this brand, but I really stick pretty close to my favorites. I think it lasts pretty well through the day. The colors aren’t very aggressive, and when you put on the darker color, if it’s too dark fit you, blending it even a little lightens it quite a bit. I think the colors blend together nicely. My favorite combo is the copper or cocoa shimmer with either the sand or champagne shimmer and the pearl shimmer. I own a lot of the mattes too, and I like mattes, so I think maybe I just prefer the shimmer in this format or this brand. The matte ones don’t go on as smoothly or blend as well. As an aside, I got a set for one of my friends who always has her lashes done because she was telling me how she couldn’t wear eye shadow because the powder would fall in her lashes and decrease the lifespan of her lashes, so I got her the eye shadow sticks thinking maybe that would solve her problem, and she loves them!

I really like the longevity of these shadow sticks. They work really well, especially when you are in a hurry. They glide on smooth. Very easy to blend. You can use your finger or a brush to blend. Nice colors.

I purchased one of these a few months ago and have been using it obsessively. I love how easy it is to put on and that I don’t necessarily need a brush. I purchased this 12 set piece and it showed up quickly. There is only one color that I think is a tad too dark for my skin tone, but I expected to have a few that I might not use too often so it’s not an issue. The price for 12 is really great. The skin tone/shade matte colors are the ones I use most.

As I have gotten older and want an easier way to apply my eye shadow, I have started using eye shadow pencils. I have been exclusively using Eye shadow pencils from Thrive Causemetics and I like them but some of the shades I love the most require multiple swipes across the eye to show enough color. I decided to give this eye shadow pencils set a try based on other good reviews and the price being very affordable. I have tried 3 of the 6 shades I purchased in the kit and I really like them. I find them to be more pigmented than my current eye shadow pencils. One gentle swipe is all that is needed to show enough color to make me happy. I am very fair skinned so that may attribute to my not needing to reapply the eye shadow to get the desired color. It dries to a nice finish and I did not notice any fading throughout the day. I have tried 2 of the shimmer colors and one of the matte colors and like them all. I am looking forward to trying all of them. I think they are well worth the price.

I purchased Garden Party which is supposed to be a variety of pinks and beige with a purple. There is no pink to any of them. They are all various shades of beige/light brown (except the purple which is the only one that matched the picture). The eyeshadow is nice but I am very disappointed in the colors as I specifically was looking for pinks.

Tried so many other eyeshadow sticks, but Julep is the best. Colors are so natural, so easy to apply, glides on like butter and blends easily before it dries. Way better than Bobbi Brown crayon which costs twice as much and does not blend at all without tugging the delicate skin of eye area (a wrinkle generator). I bought Julep many times now, love the matte color sticks.

I purchased this six-piece eyeshadow set after watching many videos on FB. I don't normally write reviews but I just had to tell everyone how awesome this product is! The colors in the set are beautiful - you can go as light or as dark as you want by building the coverage. The shadow glides onto your eye so easily and smoothly - no pulling the skin on your lid. It's so quick and easy - especially on those mornings you're rushing to get out the door! You have plenty of time to blend and blur before the product dries to a powdery finish. Stays beautiful all day - no matting into creases! I'm always skeptical about buying products I see on FB but I'm so glad I took a chance on this one!
