It feels reasonably strong. It also has "flexibility". GOOD GOOD. Did you know DONT want it too thick, or it doesn't follow the texture of the cardboard. Avoid those "HEAVY DUTY" products. This is the BASIC GOOD SHIPPING TAPE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. There is so much garbage tape out there, but this is OK !! It almost seems "premium" but its basically just the "good tape" you wanted in the first place. They have a type of adhesive called "ACRYLIC" and that is GOOD you want that adhesive cause it sticks long-term, like for storage. BUY IT. I am going to buy more. (I am going to GUESS those '1 star reviews' are accidental, the lower grade of "Duck Tape" they call it "standard". That doesn't stick and don't buy that one. Buy the "HD Clear". **Q: Is this HD Clear the same tape as the EZ start tape?**
A: They are different. The HD Clear tape seems to be more durable with a stronger adhesive. However, I have used the EZ Start tape for years with no problems. Although the HD Clear tape appears to be of a higher quality, I prefer EZ Start because it is not a loud when pulled off of the roll. This comes in handy when I do packages while my little ones are sleeping.

A: The rolls are on a 3" diameter core.

**Q: Is this tape quiet or noisy?**
A: It’s ridiculously noisy if rolled at any type of angle under strain.

**Q: does this stick on well sterlitie bins?? (recently the packaging tape i have does not stick well on the bin??) edit | delete**
A: It sticks, but if you want the tape to hold the bin closed I would wrap the tape all the way around so that it meets and you have tape sticking to tape.
