This does the bare minimum of what it says it will do. The programming is really cumbersome, though. To the point where I stopped using it because it was too annoying to have to shift through all the options to get to the right day of the week and the time that I wanted to set for wake up. I don't always get up at the same time every day. It's also cheaply made. The one thing I like is that it is 10000 LUX. But even that wasn't great because the light didn't quite reach far enough to really illuminate the whole room. Overall, it was cumbersome to use and it didn't do a great job of waking me up. It's only too bad that I tried it for as long as I did. The return policy is only 30 days.

The product is not user-friendly. The user manual is very dense and difficult to understand. There is no phone number to contact the manufacturer in the product manual or on the company's website. The seller was unable to provide valid contact information for the manufacturer. I was unable to operate the product and could not get in touch with any sort of customer service representative who could tell me how to operate the product.

This alarm clock has definitely helped me wake up more easily in the morning. It also has a number of options that competing products don't. I like the ability to set the duration of the sunrise and the strength of the light, for example. It is also handy that you can set your wake up times by the day and decide whether to use an auditory alarm or limit the alarm to light only.The only down side to this alarm clock is that the interface is not intuitive. I had to read the instruction manual just to learn how to turn off the alarm. There are multiple modes, and certain critical functions are not available in certain modes, making operation a bit confusing until you learn the rules. For example, in order to change the alarm time for tomorrow, you first have to TURN OFF the alarm. This means you have to remember to turn it back on once you have selected the new alarm time. In fact, in order to set most options, you first have to turn off the alarm. This doesn't make any sense to me.Now that I've how to perform the basic tasks like setting the alarm, I have gotten used to the interface. To the manufacturer, I suggest a redesign of the interface if you come out with a new version.Overall, I am very happy with this alarm clock because it is doing exactly what I need: helping me wake up in the mornings.

I hate waking in the dark, this light is great....like wake to the sun shiny day every morning. It is a little awkward with the setup as you have to run through all the options for each day of the week to setup or change, but once that is done and if your to not change your daily schedule much it is great. It is getting me through the cold Wisconsin morning, still looking forwarded to the summer months.

I live in Moscow, Russia where the sun in the winter does not rise until after 9AM! I, who have a hard time getting up in the morning anyway, was miserable and did not feel awake for the longest time. I set the sunrise "alarm" to begin as a "sunrise" for a half hour before I need to wake up and it does the job; I feel awake AND in a good mood!

This light does simulate a nice sunrise effect on dark winter mornings. I angle the light towards the wall, so I won't be blinded by the LED's at full brightness. Set it up for a longer sunrise period if you want it to light up gradually. Full brightness is quite bright.The unit itself feels a little cheap, but it works well. There are lots of options for daily alarm settings, how long it takes to get bright, if you want a buzzer, etc. Unfortunately, the buttons and menu options are not intuitive and I'm forced to keep my manual nearby.Still, it does what it says it will and I'm thankful for all the help I can get in the mornings.

Worked great a first, but stopped working after about three years of heavy use. For the money I paid, I would expect this to last longer than that.

This dawn simulator works well for me as it gently wakes me. Often, I wake before the soft beeps occur. Well worth the price.
