2 Pack Ultraloq UL3 BT Bluetooth Enabled Fingerprint and Touchscreen Smart Lock (Satin Nickel)

I followed this lock on the crowd-funding site Indiegogo from it's launch. As I live away from my home most of the year, I didn't back it, but prior to a short visit home last year I bought this pair. Installation on two doors was painless, and I found that the fingerprint sensors worked well. I gave a code to a couple of folks who look after things at my house. I can't overstate how gratifying it was to come home this summer, and rather than fish my keys out of my luggage, place my finger on the sensor and walk right in.These locks are so reliable that when Ultraloq launched their new lock on Indiegogo I backed it. I was drawn by the promise of remote access. With the new lock installed I'm equally impressed by its quality and appearance. I was also drawn by the promise of remote connectivity. Sadly, that part of the promise hasn't yet been realized as I've yet to connect to the locks via Bluetooth, thus my 4 rather than 5 stars. That said, product support from U-Tec has been first-rate. They have responded within hours to my issues, and I have every confidence that the connectivity and app issues (which apparently only affect some, not all users) will get resolved.EDIT: July 2017I am updating my rating to 5 stars. U-tec support supplied me with 2 Bluetooth boards in order to allow improved Bluetooth support. Now the remote access works with both the UL1 and the UL3 BT. U-tec products are excellent, but their after-market support really sets them apart.

We having been utilizing this product on multiple doors within the office for 5 plus years. Has functioned properly and held up well with constant daily use! Recently one of the door handles came loose. We reached out to customer Service to order another lock set and much to our surprise they advised they would simply replace the handle and at no cost. Received the replacement immediatly as promised. THAT is real Customer Service.

I install it in my home. It works fine, BUT, the fingerprints are not recognized well in most of the cases.

This lock is absolutely perfect for us and our busy household. Our back door kept being left unlocked when we would leave or at night. As a nervous Mom, this didn't sit well with me. So I decided to look into self locking deadbolts and locks. I looked at several different options over a years time and just couldn't decide what I wanted.Finally 2 weeks ago I found this lock and ordered it right away. When it arrived I was going to install it but quickly realized that I wasn't able to because I needed to purchase the Deadbolt Cover Plate due to the other hole in my door. No big deal. I ordered and when it arrived 2 days later I installed the lock like a pro! Setup was extremely easy, especially if you have ever installed a basic doorknob before. I think it took me about an hour from start to finish.The lock works great and maybe a little too great at times. You can set it up to stay locked so that it locks behind you after coming in and that is exactly what I did. I easily set up my fingerprint and a code in case they don't work. We had some issues with my husbands fingerprint but I believe it is because his hands had paint on them, so for the time being he has a code to get in currently. When the paint comes off we will try again.Overall this is a good lock. Here are a couple of tips when purchasing:-Make sure you order the cover plate if you are installing the lock on a door that has 2 holes already.-Order the Bridge if you want to control the locks remotely.

These locks are absolute junk. The finger print readers only work about 10 percent of the time, even though I have all finger prints scanned in multiple positions, forcing you to rely on the keypad which cannot be seen in bright sunlight. Now after less than one year the keypad in one of the locks has failed, it lights up but will not accept touches. DO NOT BUY.

I bought 2 units of this product. One works perfectly, the other malfunctioned after a couple of months of use, but the customer support team was awesome by replacing the part that was broken. Their support team is very good, and most important very very fast!! It was amazing how quickly they helped me replace the broken part. I would give them 5 stars it if wasn't for the unit that malfunctioned! PS. Their new app is very friendly, much faster than the older version!

I have now purchased four of these locks and additionally purchased the bridges that go with them so we can open them from anywhere in the world. We had a problem with one of the locks and customer service replace the lock and we have sent had no issues.Make sure to purchase the bridge if you want to be able to open the lock remotely… The app to use the lock is actually very user-friendly and not difficult to understand but like every other lock it on the market just realize this is new technology and it’s not lightning fast .... but it works and it is fantastic to not have to go up to my office to lock and unlock the doors.This is absolutely the only lock on the market that I was able to use the because we are not permitted to have a deadbolt by the fire marshal...So since this is a lever and does not have a deadbolt we were able to use this for our office.The only minor annoyance is the amount of time I need to change the batteries ... The locks won’t work once the batteries die so I don’t even take a chance and we change the batteries once A month.I mean of course there’s a back up so you can manually get in .... but for me it’s just easier and less hassle to change the batteries and be confident.
