I have to use a hand splint sometimes when my ulnar nerve plays up , and all other gloves don't fit over it for washing up , and if they do they often get ripped trying to put them on over a chubby splint These are great for that purpose and look like they will last and quality is very good , I will be ordering another pair soon for my gardening jobs to keep my cuffs clean when i am digging about in the dirt . Yes they are more expensive but are handy for so many tasks and very sturdy , not flimsy like the supermarket ones , even the strong ones are useless .
