Not the Feiyue I Love
These shoes produced by BBC International are well definitely well made, but I prefer the Chinese Feiyue (DaFu Rubber) design much more. The BBC fit is much narrower than its Chinese counterpart, so while the length fit my feet well I cannot comfortably wear these. These shoes came with an insole that was too thick for my preferences, and there is a foam wedge glued to the insole under the heel. The combination of this thick insole and the low-cut design of the shoe made it difficult to keep the shoes securely on my feet. I removed this insole to achieve a better fit in the heel area and in the toebox. The sole material used on these Feiyues is a thicker, harder, and less flexible material than on the DaFu Rubber versions. Because the sole material is harder, the shoe wearer receives less feedback from the ground. I have worn DaFu Rubber Feiyues for the past 5 years because enjoy the zero heel-to-toe drop and the superior groundfeel I receive from wearing them. However, these BBC Feiyues come provided with a ridiculous insole and use a rubber that is less grippy and that inhibits what I feel from the ground.I would love to support US based BBC International, but the company has changed what I enjoyed about the original, DaFu Rubber design. I'm disappointed I don't like this BBC version more because they are well constructed and look pretty sharp, but I will certainly continue buying the DaFu Rubber versions that ship from overseas.

Good shoes for casual wear, not for wushu.
Lot's of confusion about these shoes abound, I have many pairs from many sources and I can clarify a bit. These shoes are comfy but a bit narrow, definately size up of you are a half size. These are different from shoes used at the shaolin temple for many reasons, mainly they are not made by Top One, who manufactures Feiyue in China for DaFu rubber company. These shoes have flat soles with lots of padding and a narrow fit. Top One, the legit wushu shoes, have a rounded sole with minimal padding and a wide fit. The wide fit. Now, these Feiyue shoes here made by BBC are fine shoes, but these are not the same. For wushu, the original chinese "fakes" (as most people seem to believe they are) are superior. If you want a comfy pair of kicks to wear in homage to wushu heritage, these are great. Just know the difference.

Not a barefoot shoe alternative
I must preface by saying I was looking to get a zero drop, minimalist show like my Xero, or Vivo barefoot shoes that didn’t look so goofy. These shoes don’t come close to the feeling of a true barefoot shoe. The toe box is too narrow. Even though there’s no support they don’t feel like a zero drop shoe does. I found them to be too heavy and not flexible enough.I know they don’t market these shoes as a barefoot shoe, but I thought they’d have a more natural feel.

Nothing like the original Feiyues
If you're looking to replace an old pair of Feiyues these may not work. They're much more narrow and built like a normal sneaker. If you have narrow feet you'll probably be ok. I wear a 9.5 and the 43 in the old Feiyue fit perfectly but the 10 in this new version were really tight. They're well made but don't have the flexibility of the originals and don't seem like they'll mold to your foot as much, it's a totally different design. If you're looking for a normal fashion sneaker these are made well and seem like they'll be comfortable (the insole is very cushioned) but if you're looking at these because you're familiar with the originals be warned. It's a shame they're using the name and look because that's about all that's the same.

Not the Feiyue I know and love. Definitely not true to size.
I spent nearly 26 years overseas and the vast majority of it was in East Asia. I’ve owned, trained in, and styled many pairs of these. Mostly white pairs. I’ve been stuck in the US since coming to visit my parents a year ago and was finally excited about something when I saw these here. Then, I got them, knew they were not the same as those I bought in China, thought I’d keep them anyway until they turned out to be too small, and get charged $6 a pair to return them.Never again. I’ll buy the real ones when I get back overseas.

Fit is very small.
I wear a solid 11.5, and this size 12 cramped my toes both to the front and in width. With the cost of shipping and return shipping this bad fit cost me $12.I would avoid these if you are looking for any freedom in the toe box.

Too narrow: not designed for the US market
I really wanted to like this shoe. It is a good looking minimalist design. However, the proportions of this shoe are not designed for the US market. Perhaps it works well in China. I bought a size 11 even though I normally wear a size 10.5. Even after that, the shoe is way too narrow. At its widest point on the sole, it is just about 4 inches on the outside. Compare that against my worn out size 10.5 Patagonia shoes that are 4.5 inches on the outside. Another Chinese made minimalist shoe I bought on amazon was slightly wider than 4.25 inches and just about fits me after taking the in-sole out and wearing it with only socks on. It is very uncomfortable to narrow my foot down to get inside this shoe. Even with the in-sole removed it was not a good fit. The reinforcement on the outside is just at the wrong point on the side of the big toe, again because the proportions are wrong for the US market. With a thicker wool sock there is no way I can wear this comfortably. Feiyue: please make a much wider toe box version for the US market and I'd be delighted to try it again then.
