Q: Does the splitter (1 hdmi in 4 hdmi out) need to be powered, or does it also get poc from transmitter or receiver?

All of our HDBaseT extenders support power over cable so you can power the transmitter and the receiver will get power when you can connect them to the transmitter using a cat cable.

Q: I want to use this product with my playstation 5 and sony tv. is 4k60, hdr-10 and hdmi-cec available on this product?

Yes, it will work for your intended use.

Q: I set up the units and appears to work fine. earc is also working - used only for netflix from oled to receiver. the units get warm? is that normal?

Yes, it's normal for the unit to get a bit warm during use.

Q: Does it have to be a direct ethernet cable connection between both the tx and rx or can the tx be connected to a poe on my network switch?
