Portta Component to HDMI Converter with HDMI Cable, RGB 5 RCA YPbPr to Video Converter, Support 1080p 60Hz for PS2 PS3 Xbox 360

Bought this to connect my old XBox 360 which has a YPbPr (component) cable video output to a new Samsung TV which only had HDMI inputs. This worked flawlessly out of the box without even reading the instructions. You just hook the respective red green and blue cables from the XBox video cable to their respective color coded cables on this box and then the red/white audio cables up, plug the USB cable into the XBox USB port and you’re ready to go. The USB cable is only for power so you can plug it in to the USB power supply that it comes with. However, I had read a review that this might cause syncing issues resulting in wavy lines on the screen. Apparently, plugging the USB power cable into the XBox fixes this so that’s the way I did it. The picture quality is excellent with good color saturation and crisp images and is at 1080P resolution. The sound is output through the TV or your TV soundbar. Overall, this is an excellent product and does exactly what it needs to do. You can set it up and forget about it. If you’re trying to connect an older video device such as XBox 360 DVD player, VCR, etc which has only YPbPr (component) output, this works beautifully. *** The one BIG caveat is that this is NOT designed for composite video signals where you just have one yellow video cable. Someone posted a video here showing them hooking up a single yellow cable to this device and then complaining that the video was degraded and only black and white. You MUST have separate Red, Green, and Blue cables coming out of your device for this to work. If you have a single yellow video cable (component video), this is not the right box for you. There are other devices available on Amazon that will work for composite video signals. ***

The set up was easy. The graphics and sound quality are amazing.

I used this to connect my old PS2 to my modern TV, the resolution isnt that great but what can you expect trying to play old 480p games on 4k.

My new TV only had HDMI ports for video input so I got this adapter to use my old Wii console. Super easy to plug in, and the USB port on the TV provides power as well for a clean installation. No lag and no drop in image quality, very happy with this adapter.

I was worried about the feed cutting in and out but it has worked fantastically.

Just got mine, open it up and get it set up just to have it not work. Both lights are on. Everything is hooked up correctly and no matter what I do I can not get a signal on any input. Genuinely confused.

Works great for retro consoles. But one main issue with it is when I play dvds on og xbox the signal goes to black, it cuts out entirely. Could be a macrovision issue.

Hooked up my old 5 disk DVD player to my new Samsung TV that does not have component inputs. Works great, just have to remember that it will not properly show Copy protected DVD's.

Muy buen convertidor, respeta los colores originales y brillo del juego, entrega toda la calidad del cable componente desde el PS2. Se ve muy bien en smart TV 32 pulgadas. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Luego de unas semanas dejo de funcionar el cable HDMI que venía incluido, con cambiarlo por un cable de mejor calidad fue suficiente, pero el convertidor sigue muy bien.
