Great OEM Replacement Ink with MINOR Differences
I own a Canon PIXMA MG5220 printer and have always purchased the Canon OEM ink for over $40. I rarely print, my 7 year old daughter is the one who always wants me to print or copy things for her, thus I only need to replace my ink once a year or so. Well, like most, I was sick of paying $40+ or OEM ink when I rarely printed. It's expensive but some occasions printing can be critical and I need to be able to print something and when I try, the ink is near gone or completely gone so having ink available is a must.I searched on Amazon for some generic ink that was compatible with my printer for a decent price, I was willing to even spend half of what I usually do, so around $20, then I landed on this. Reading the most recent positive reviews, I thought I would give it a try, worst case I returned it back to Amazon or I was out a whopping $6, no big deal.I can highly recommend this ink. It works, it was compatible, its sufficient, its close to par of the OEM quality ink. The ONLY issue I have notice is the ink is a little shy of the quality of OEM ink offers when I noticed some print jobs leaving the paper slightly more soggy/wet than OEM ink but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. It saved me around $40.Don't hesitate, it's well worth $6, if not double that price.

Good ink for the price, but be careful of plastic tape.
The ink is pretty good for the price, but not perfect. It printed a nice 4x6 photo, but I cannot attest to its archival quality. (In the event I did need archival quality, I would buy a set of genuine Canon inks.) Black printing with the pigment ink cartridge is acceptable, but a slight bit "rough" compared to a laser printer. For day to day printing (shipping labels, etc.), these are fine, especially for the price!I did have an issue with the black pigment ink not printing. It turns out that the yellow plastic tape, removed when installing the cartridge, was covering up a vent on top of the cartridge, which prevented it from printing. There is a small L-shaped channel molded into the top of the cartridge, which relieves the vacuum created when the ink flows from the bottom of the cartridge; a buildup of this vacuum prevents the cartridge from dispensing ink. When removing the yellow tape tabs on these, you should see just the end portion of that channel. If not, find a sharp knife to gently pry up the adhesive and expose a small bit of that channel.

Worked like a charm
Ordered for the MG-5220. Worked like a charm. Someone posted a review that these were too long for this printer. Either they got shipped the wrong item or the manufacturer has resolved the problem. I popped out the old one and stuck in the new one - lit up like a Christmas tree.I did have one slight problem. The Magenta cartridge I put in didn't light up and wasn't recognized by the printer. Since I had purchased two of each, I opened the other Magenta and put it in. Boom! Lit right up. Printed a test page and everything looked boss. The printer recognizes that all ink levels are full.I sent an email to the seller about the apparently defective cartridge requesting a replacement. I got a response within 24 hours confirming the color of the defective cartridge. A replacement is on its way. GRRRRRREAT!!Could not be happier!! I hate buying ink, but this is making me change that stance just a bit.I've included a picture of my printer. This is when the magenta didn't light up.

Best generic ink carts ever, at a terrific price.
I started using these with a brand-new Canon PIXMA MG5320, without even having installed the OEM cartridges that came with the computer. The color is excellent, and all ink is more color-fast than I've been used to (very little fading or running, even when placed under running water). There have been none of the leakage problems that some of the negative reviewers mentioned, and I've found the cartridges to be very simple to prepare for installation. One interesting issue whose significance, if any, is yet to be seen: my initial Amazon order for the carts (the one I am rating here) was filled through a company called "77 Ink." Since they functioned so well, I placed a second, larger order with Amazon--for what seemed to be the identical cartridges--a couple of weeks after the first order arrived. As with the first order, the ink arrived promptly, but the cartridges are packaged differently and apparently are from a different manufacturer. Moreover, they were sent from a different supplier: "Carrot Ink", whose products I have used in the past with mixed results. More on this matter if these newer cartridges turn out to be in any way deficient.

It works. PITA however!
This is my second purchase of this printer ink. For the money, it's worth it, if you print as much as we do. The quality isn't too bad, really. It's the installation of the stuff that brings down the *stars* in my review. The first set I got, (and I was prepared for it by reading other reviews) leaked EVERYWHERE! It leaked in the package, it leaked on my table, on my printer, and worst of all, on ME! I had to walk around with multi-colored fingers for many days. But...only 1 cartridge worked. And then the original Canon inks wouldn't work! All I got was error messages. I emailed the seller, who advised me to clean all the print heads with rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. More leaking EVERYWHERE! but...it worked. All inks were now functional, although I'll bet half my ink was now gone. Once working, these ink refills lasted several months with no more problems. Now, I needed more ink when they started getting low...so I reordered. Ships fast, low cost. Why not? I was prepared (more than 1st time!) for spillage/leakage. I had on latex gloves, covered every surface with towels...and not a single drop dripped from any of the inks! Every ink cartridge worked, no errors...Go figure :)
