Just an amazing value for this much utility
These headlamps are the perfect intersection of great price and better utility. On one hand, it's only a few dollars each but on the other, they provide so much help to you when you need it the most.Let's start with the packaging: admittedly this is weakest part. You get just one box that holds all your batteries, lamps and headstraps. They could have made individual packaging for each headlamp, thereby letting us give out a clean package to other people or keep one in each drawer around the house and in one little box. Also, the batteries and strap are not installed. This is fine if you got 10 minutes to kill while watching TV but a tad annoying if you haven't done this beforehand and are fiddling with it in the dark. Most other headlamps have straps attached and have a tab to pull on pre-installed batteries so it's definitely feels a bit DIY.The lamps: These are very bright and very easy to use. They fit snug against your head and even have a little concave plastic tab that fits against your forehead and moves up and down. There's one button that toggles between BRIGHT, less bright and off. I'm glad there's no more buttons or features than that. I have fancier lights that toggle between 3-4 brightness levels and/or flashing modes or have multiple buttons and it's completely useless. 99.9% of customers are going to be just people with power outages and people going back to their tents from the campfire while camping. For those few hikers who feel like they could get lost, be in the dark and need emergency flashing functions to signal rescuers, I guess consider other lamps. That's it! These can make a perfect low-cost gift if you don't mind not having its own box. Even if not a gift, just buy this and throw it in the drawer. I can't stress to you how useful these things are in a power outage. From going downstairs and being able to hold the railing, traversing the DARK basement to flip a breaker or going to the garage to get a generator going, having your hands free is paramount and just plain easier. Best yet, you can turn it on , stick the light upwards in the air and get enough light in the room to actually do things even if you don't want it on your head. This thing blinded me when I looked at it so it's plenty bright. The build doesn't look too waterproof so watch out for rain. It's also 90% plastic. That helps with the weight but I'm sure you could snap a piece if you didn't watch it. Not sure about battery life but it's LED and 3 AAs. I'm sure it lasts plenty long. That's it. Great product. Highly recommended, especially at the low BF prices I've seen it at.

Perfect for living in the country
Actually these are perfect for living anywhere. They're easy without fidgeting around with 26 different light modes I mean who needs a strobe on the headlight right. The good thing about this brand is they can get low light enough for you to actually work on something without losing all of your night vision in low mode. High mode is plenty bright enough for 95% of what you need if you need more light than that you're going to have to step up to a streamlight with expensive batteries. Which I actually have and used quite often but these head lights are just so very useful and they're cheap so what I would do is buy this package and put one in each vehicle I mean I don't carry gloves in my glove box I have a headlamp in it. And for going outside checking on the chickens at night or changing a flat tire they are everything you need and if you end up messing one up you're not out but two bucks I would highly recommend them and with Christmas coming they're not bad for stocking stuffers if you're a tightwad like me. An old tightwad . Highly recommended very comfortable lightweight the perfect size

Amazing Value
These lights come with junk batteries, but for $4 per light, it's hard to expect more. The lights themselves are absolutely excellent for the price. They're simple to operate -- click once for bright, click again for low, click again for off. They're very bright, equal to other lights that are $50 each. I like to camp a lot and personally I use a fancier light, but for kids they're fantastic, and for friends camping with us that are having trouble setting up their tent, it's a no-brainer to just give them one of these, especially since they're so cheap and work so well. I've used them on a number of trips and haven't had one fail yet.

Brighter than expected…….but
Overall: good value for money. The cases don’t appear to be very rugged. But could be surprised after some use. The beam pattern is circular - rectangular would be more useful for navigating around a campsite in the dark. The up-down adjustment will compensate somewhat. The write-up specifies alkaline batteries. The included batteries are carbon-Zn, I don’t expect them to last very long hence the deducted star. I will switch to rechargeable NiMH when these are gone.

Light is bright and it is functional
I got these just the night before i was to use them, they are very bright and lights up a good area. The button can be pressed again and the light will get dim. The light is not heavy so it does not feel uncomfortable on your head. The band feels comfortable on your head. I just got them recently so i do not know how long they will last, however, I do like them, they feel fairly durable for the time being.

Best Bargain on Amazon
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased these headlamps with a bit skeptical attitude since they were so cheap. OH BOY was I wrong! I could not believe that are very, very decent! I couldn't have been more excited...Extremely well designed with easy battery access, easy strap fastening extremely bright on high.I can't speak for durability yet but they even supplied decent Eveready batteries! This deal is SENSATIONAL... for a change these days.

Good Buy, Works Well
We've had these about 2 weeks and are happy with performance.Good price for a set of 5 - used all over the house and outside.2 light settings.Adjustable elastic head strap.Easy to use/push button for on and off.Fairly comfortableAbility to tilt lamp to accommodate what you're doing (walking, working on something sitting down, etc.)Easy to open and replace batteries as needed. This set is packed in a flimsy, thin cardboard box. Unfortunately, it was shipped in padded plastic envelope, and the interior manufacturer's box came completly smashed. Fortunately, all 5 headlamps arrived unscathed, but strongly recommend putting batteries in all 5 upon receive of the set and test them.
