As others have stated, it doesn't fit a Shadow Phantom AT ALL. It looks like it would fit if the brackets were flat, but as it comes they aren't even close. I may get some spacers and longer bolts, fab up my own brackets, or just return it. Haven't decided yet.It really P***** me off when something is advertised as fitting a specific vehicle, only to find out there is an unstated clause such as "if you are willing to bend the **** out of it, or fabricate your own brackets".EDIT:Some more info for those that need it. As mentioned, this WILL NOT fit a Shadow Phantom 750. Notice that it is 37.5cm wide at the front (375mm). There is another version of it (different brand, same product), that is 304mm wide at the front..which DOES fit a Shadow Phantom 750. I found this other version on a different giant "new and used" site, but never found it here on Amazon.

Good: Seems very sturdy. Metal is thick where it should be, and low profile in the areas you'd want most. While most complain about the padding being cheap, it's better than I expected and more comfortable than nothing at all.Bad: required an Allen wrench and normal wrench to put together. Not a big drawback, but required a little digging for the proper tools.DID NOT fit initially. Required a little bit of struggle to get fit properly, having to bend the metal a bit when tightening it to the bike. (Ultimately scratching my back fender a little in the process.) Again, not the end of the world for a product that does exactly what it needs at a fraction of the price.Just be prepared for a bit of frustration if your fender drops while installing.Overall: 4/5Not the best, but well worth the money.

This is just the generic version on the Honda power sports product which will cost about $300, so it's a great deal. It's just not at easy to install. I took a star off for how frustrating the install was, granted I'm not a certified mechanic... It's pretty obvious how to install this piece, just not an easy task.

This advertises as AUFER Detachable Backrest Sissy Bar and Luggage Rack Pad for Honda Spirit C2 VT750 750 Shadow Phantom 750. Received it and put it together and it did not fit my Honda Spirit C2 VT750 Honda Shadow. It was way to wide and would no way fit onto my bike!!! False advertisement.

I' satisfied with this backrest, I like the way it looks haven't rode with passenger yet but i think it will be comfortable. I would recommend that you assemble it one piece at a time on the bike. Had trouble trying to install it fully assembled.
