Absolutely the best remote for any camera system they are made for. Love these!
As with all profoto gear, you get what you pay for. This remote is why I use profoto, no really. If your on a budget then sure, look elsewhere, but I shoot for a living and make good money so I can afford to buy what works best for me. These remotes are the best on the market. I can do everything without menus and have easily learned where the buttons are in complete darkness without having to look up and see where I am. It is very nice. I use 3 B1 heads with a Sony a7rii and it just always works (also use the nikon remote with a d810 and D5). So reliable and simplicity. I also use the nikon remote on my hasselblad X1D but there is no ttl with that setup. If you have the money and want simplicity the profoto B1 and air remote system works every time without menus and issues. 3rd year using them almost every day and never had an issue with any of my gear.

Works as advertised if you get it to seat correctly.
Works well if you can get it into hot shoe correctly. Seems little to large for hot shoe.

Breaks after a couple uses (on two of them)
Originally bought the TTL-S with the B1X kit from a local camera store, and it was dead upon opening the box. It turned on, connected to the flashes just fine, all that was good, but it had an issue with firing the flashes about half a second before the camera shutter fired. Updated firmware, reset it, tried other channels, made sure camera was setup right, etc but after taking it back to the store, they tested my setup with another Air Remote on my camera and it worked fine. So I returned it and bought another one on Amazon. It lasted 2 photo shoots over a couple month period (I don't use it much) and now it has the same problem, and this time it happened right in the middle of shooting. Had the camera setup, taking pictures and all was going well until (without having changed a thing) it suddenly started firing the flashes well before the camera would go off. It's unfortunate that there's no alternatives to this controller since it just doesn't work well at all. I will not be buying a 3rd one and risk ruining another shoot, I'll be sending this one into Profoto to be replaced, and as soon as I get it back I'm ditching this whole setup

Essential if you own Profoto and are getting into Sony.
I've used Profoto for a long time. They used to have Pocket Wizard built-in, but went proprietary with the Air System. My first use of Profot's AIR Remote system was with D1's. The advantage was a top sync speed of 1/1000 for use with leaf-shutter cameras like the Hasselblad. The Profoto AIR is also built-in to my Hensel Porty 1200LWhen I went Sony I got the Air-Remote TTL-S as soon as available. I use it on a Sony A7R-II with zero issues. It provides HSS with my B1s and B2s, and normal triggering for all other Profoto and Hensel lights. I only have one of the Air Remote-S because I back it up with a simple Air Remote.

HSS doesn't work. Don't bother.
I hadn't tried to even use HSS until this year on my device, but turns out it just doesn't work. And my support window is gone. I have used this device a total of three times since I purchased it, all 3 were done in studio, each time with a lower shutter speed (1/125th or 1/200th) and it worked fine. But, the second I tried to recently use HSS, it did not work. Troubleshooting, firmware updates, nothing helped. Kinda pissed I spent nearly $400 on this. Will not be buying from this seller again, as the product clearly did not work from the get go and was sold to me either without undergoing product inspection or knowingly malfunctioning.

Stopped working after 6 months
My short review is that it works great when it works, but you're screwed when it doesn't work. Mine stopped working 6 months in.I had a TTL-C that I used with my Canon 5d for a long time with no issues. I now use a Sony a7riii and a TTL-S, but my TTL-S is having issues 6 months in. Firmware upgraded on all pieces in the chain, etc. Tried it on other Sony cameras, but no dice. After speaking with Profoto support, it's been determined that the TTL-S is malfunctioning, and I need to send it in. I asked about a replacement while it's being worked on, but was told I'd need to go find a place from which to rent one. They're $40-$50 per week to rent, which is not nothing. I run a busy studio, so of course it makes financial sense to spend $50 per week to rent one, but when you pay a premium price for Profoto (and you DO) you'd think they'd have better customer service (and they DON'T).So... take that into consideration.
