Citrucel Fiber works well. It is not as harsh as other fiber supplements and just helps add fiber to your diet daily.

These tablets are very convenient and easier to use than the powder form. However, I do seem to get a better result with the powder for some strange reason. The tablets can be broken in half if theyre too long for one to swallow. But READ THE DIRECTIONS!! YOU MUST DRINK AT LEAST 8 OUNCES OF WATER IMMEDIATELY AFTER SWALLOWED!!! - Not "yelling" at anyone - my kid tells me that's what caps mean these days in texts, lol. I'm merely using caps so no one misses this very important detail!! Fiber caps expand and turn into a jelly-like substance in the gut. If enough water isn't consumed, choking can result. A product most people should use. My gastroenterologist recommended this brand of fiber supplement to me. These days with peoples eating choices and habits irregularity is a common problem. This fiber supplement can help with this problem. The tablet size may be a little large for some people but it can be broken in two if needed. Give it a try!

Works great without all of the excess gas so common to other fiber supplements! I have had IBS since childhood, and have never found an excellent remedy. I have gone through several prescriptions including amitriptyline and hyoscyamine but did not get much relief from them. Over time I almost just came to accept the inevitable recurring, debilitating cramps and intestinal pain. As a teen, I tried Citrucel in powder form but didn't stick with it for very long because I concluded it was not helping and wasn't going to help. Fast forward to more recent times, I was over 30 and still experiencing bouts of painful IBS symptoms, but it was not quite so regular. I could count on the pain every morning when I awoke, but only sometimes would it get to the point where it was completely debilitating. I decided to give fiber another chance, and I am so glad that I did! Initially, I tried various kinds of gummies because they were much more pleasant to eat than powdered Citrucel. After a couple of weeks, I started to notice my symptoms getting a little bit better. It did not hurt so much when I had an IBS flare-up, and the flare-ups were fewer and farther between than before. However, these made me feel a bit gassy, with rumbling intestines and the unavoidable need to burp regularly on many days. I then remembered Citrucel from my teenage years, which was the one my doctor had recommended, and I found it in pill form because I find it unpleasant to drink mixed with water. I am thrilled with my decision. After a while of taking these, I am feeling more relief than with anything else I have tried in the past. Some days I have no IBS symptoms at all, which sure is great! More recently, I have also been taking these with a probiotic every day (Trunature Digestive Probiotic, which I found with the help of Labdoor.com, who also happens to ship them properly in cold packs). The probiotics have helped even more, and my IBS pain is almost never debilitating anymore when it is present at all.

A bit pricey.However great for putting it in your purse.If I am out and eat something with white flour this negates the high carbs.White flour is the same on your body like sugar.It rapidly goes too fast on the stumach.Causing blood sugar problems.Thanks Mary Formosa.
