did the job but
did the job but needed to modify it to work for use in a high torque application. the clamping screw is so small the threads sheared on one collar while trying to clamp it around the shaft. required drilling, tapping, with #8 screw then drilling, tapping another for use as a #10 set screw. The spider was ok for preventing backlash when first installed but did not like the surges in torque under slight misalignment at around 2500rpm, melting from friction until it started having backlash then biting in and chunking out pieces of softened material. the fail- safe teeth of the couplers still worked well enough to twist up the other shaft but the backlash began to smash up the coupler pair and broke the grip of the collar until eventually spinning on the shaft. total run time to see all this go down was well under 1/2 hr.

Using to connect CIM motor to a drive wheel. This saves me from having to machine ashort axle. I like this product.

Functions as required, caution if tightening, can lose form over time in some scenarios
Was using to fix a servo motor to a shaft, and needed to ensure sufficient torque could be met. To accomplish i tightened quite a bit and unfortunately the build does not allow for much flexibility. Ended up stripping the threads and ruined the part. Second part worked fine, just be sure to be aware how much you are tightening.4 stars because the part will gradually slip apart if shafts not perfectly alligned on the axis, which could probably be improved with better build quality.
