The blade is nice and sharp and all the materials used on it seem to be good quality . Overall i think its a pretty good value and a great gift for anyone who collects . The tsuka and Sageo are wrapped with a very distinct looking tape that really stands out. The tsuka, fuchi, and kashira are a bit overdone. Some might find it a bit gaudy what with all the gold on the fittings and Saya. Overall, the package is very attractive even if a bit overdone. The Saya is a bright black drizzled with gold paint. I find it pleasing to look at. If I had to come up with a criticism I would have to say that the fittings let it down slightly. But opinions vary and others might find it quite pleasing. The good news is that it’s very well made. Tight fitting and a very sharp blade. The transitions match up nicely. The Ito is tight, though not overly so but adequate.
