Suwirun Organic Lemongrass & Butterfly Pea Tea 25 Bags – Product of Thailand – Authentic Thai Herbal Blue Tea, Caffeine-Free, No Calories, Floral Fragrance, Enjoy Hot or Cold

I love all the teas from Suwirun. I am Thai and went to the Suwirun tea shop in Chiang Mai Thailand. That’s where I first bought this tea. I was so excited to see it on Amazon too!

My husband really enjoys lemongrass & ginger tea, so when I saw this Lemongrass-Butterfly Pea tea I decided to give it a try. I’m not a huge fan of lemongrass and ginger tea so I wasn’t sure I’d personally like this tea, but I was really presently surprised. Not only is this tea fruity in flavor and delicious, it smells an amazing, and is blue in color!I brought a few tea bags to my science glass to use for a lesson where we were exploring the effects of heat energy (I thought the blue color of the tea would be perfect for the object lesson). The children kept remarking how this tea smelled like candy!I later had one of my sons try it cold, he’s not a regular hot tea drinker, and he kept exclaiming how good it was. He suggested it would make a great summer iced tea, reminiscent to the fruity iced teas various fast food restaurants now serve.The tea comes packaged well in a bag that has both Thai and English writing. The bag claims the tea is USDA Organic certified, among other certifications. I could not find any portion of the bag that listed the ingredients, but upon inspecting the contents of a bag it appears to be natural and legit (portions of lemongrass and butterfly pea flower). (See picture)A final fun bonus with this tea: the bag suggests adding lemon to the tea to turn it purple! I decided to try it out and it worked!! (See picture of iced teas). These iced teas were sweetened with cane sugar and iced. These one with lemon tasted a bit more like lemonade than the regular tea without lemon. Both were good!This tea is delicious both hot and cold and is unexpectedly fun! If you’re thinking about trying it, I say you should!

Decent tea. It has a pleasant taste and I really like the color. It changes to a nice purple when you add some lemon. Overall happy with the purchase and would recommend

I was drawn to this tea because I was looking for a caffeine-free option to enjoy in the evening. Upon trying it, I found the aroma delightful and very calming. The flavor has a gentle sweetness that combines well with the lemongrass, creating a smooth and refreshing drink. I liked that it can be enjoyed both hot and cold, making it versatile for different occasions. The blue color of the tea is visually stunning and adds a fun element, especially when serving to guests. However, the tea bags don’t have strings, which makes it a bit tricky to remove them after steeping. That aside, I found this tea to be a wonderful addition to my collection, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.Pros:- Great aroma and relaxing flavor- Enjoyable both hot and cold- Beautiful blue colorCons:- No strings on tea bags for easier removal

I use Blue Pea tea to add color and a hint of flavor to Sourdough bread and baked goods.Simply steep the tea bag in warmed liquid for the recipe and allow the tea bags to color and infuse the liquid with subtle flavor. If the recipe calls for cold liquid simply chill before using in your recipe.This Blue Pea and lemon grass tea adds a beautiful blue color and just a hint of floral and lemon grass to baked goods.The tea is excellent hot or cold with a bit of honey to complement Thai food.If you like more flavor and fragrance simply steep the tea bags longer.The package has the USDA Organic stamp, something I don't pay much attention to as "organic" approved pesticides are just as bad as manmade. They are simply derived from natural ingredients rather than created from chemical components in a factory.The tea bags seemed very fresh and the tea a good quality.If you want to try some fancy baking effects or offer friends and family a fun beverage you should try this. At 25 tea bags for the current price I consider this a good value.

First of all, I love the flavor of lemongrass, and this tea does not disappoint in that department. The Lemongrass flavor is delicious. This tea also contains Butterly Pea which makes it a beautiful blue, and I would imagine adds some phytochemicals. I am not sure of the flavor contribution of the butterfly pea, and use the powder in my chia pudding. It is a pretty mild taste. But as you can see from photo, it does create a true blue brew. I especially appreciate that the triangular bags used in this organic tea appear to be natural fiber rather than those polyester ones that shed microplastics. I can’t say I notice any effects other than it is a pleasant cup of herbal tea, which is what I am looking for. The blue color is very fun- this would be a great choice to offer for after-dinner tea when entertaining, and I imagine you could also get creative and make some very interesting iced mocktails or cocktails with a strong brew of this if so inclined. For myself, I will keep enjoying hot as a refreshing caffeine-free option.

I've had lemongrass many times before. I've never had butterfly pea tea, however. It seems that the butterfly pea doesn't have much flavor to it, but the color is what the appeal is. The lemongrass is fragrant and it tastes great! The butterfly pea makes the tea a gorgeous teal blue color, and you can make it turn into a deep purple if you add lemon or lime juice to it. I enjoy it served iced with extra honey. The bag that it is in is resealable to keep it fresh. There aren't any strings on the tea bags, so after it's finished steeping I just scoop the bags out with a strainer. This tea seems to keep well- I brew it and keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days without much change in the flavor. I recommend this tea.

It’s a good lemon grass tea. Interesting color to it but we liked it. No tea string which would be nice but not a deal breaker worth a try if you are curious.
