Trust us, catching a mouse in the home doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Cue Tomcat Wooden Mouse Traps, the inexpensive, effective way to take care of mice. The basic design of our wooden traps is what makes them so user-friendly. To use, bait the trigger of the trap with Tomcat Attractant Gel (sold separately) or peanut butter. Then, set by pulling the U-shaped bar to the opposite end and insert the top of the pin into the underside of the trigger. Mice have a natural tendency to run along walls as they move from hiding to feeding, so we recommend placing traps up against the walls of rooms or cupboards where activity is suspected, such as kitchens, basements, or garages. Once caught, toss the trap and mouse in the trash. This package of Disposable Tomcat Mouse Traps contains 4 traps.

I like the bait paddle design as it holds the bait well making the little guy work for it, which you want. So far I haven't seen any bait eaten without a catch. Pro tip: try using store brand Velveeta as bait. It really sticks to the paddle. Of course, if you're feeling boojey by all means use the name brand.

**Q: how do i buy mouse attract gel?**
A: Not familiar with mouse gel. I have 6-8 traps in service full time in winter in my barn and shop. I use peanut butter to bait trap. Economical, easy to place, aroma carries, doesnt dry out.
Tomcat are the best traps out there.

**Q: the mice are licking it clean every night.  Any suggestions? Ok. I tried smearing it everywhere including the trigger. Same result. Licked clean.**
A: You can try adjusting the sensitivity of the trigger.  The trap is supposed to be more sensitive if the metal arm is further to the right.
