Best value out there
Burns, great, almost 3 hours every time. There is a slight residue that clings to the walls after months, but it comes right off with a damp rag.

Best Bioethanol gel can for fireplace
The media could not be loaded. They last for the amount of time indicated in product description, 3-4 hours each can. Well priced on Amazon in comparison to other brands and websites.

Gel worthy
Product works as specified. Lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Great for an evening on the deck.

Too smokey
EchoFlame is probably the fourth different brand that I have ordered through Amazon. I have used all of them in a faux log set up within our wood-burning fireplace. We chose this over using real wood to avoid the mess and cleanup. EchoFlame was the first to cause our smoke alarms to be set off. Writing to the manufacturer, I was told that their specs clearly state that they are to be used in their own fireplace systems. What a farce!! Their firepace systems appear to be the same as what we have. Bottom line, I am stuck with 18 cans of gel that I can't use.

Weird smell and consistency
So it doesn't smell while burning, but AFTERWARDS - when it's all burned up the can radiates a weird chemical smell. Also, the jelly is less 'liquid' than other ones, and chunks of it stick to the lid when you open it and stay on it, which is bad for a number of reasons. But it burns ok.

2 days of burning total of 6 cans
Don't recommend burning indoors. See pic of filter. Used to be white. Yellow / orange residue all over house. Never again.

I no longer use this indoors...residue...(outdoors only)...
I purchased 2 cases a season apart. First case burned decently. Second case burned "dirty"...left a significant residue in and around the fireplace...yellow soot, etc. Did NOT seem like something you want to be breathing. Also, CHECK your furnace filter after burning 12 cans of this...not good at all! I'm going back to using Real Flame Gel...which is a much better product (made in USA, this dirty gel is made in China). Sorry Folks, I never complain about anything...this is just Truth. :)
