Q: Why is this so expensive?

Hi. The cost of the Baby Throne is simply as a result of the materials used; the whole top structure is made from integral skinned poly urethane foam which is expensive. This foam is nice and warm and gets softer the warmer it is against the skin. The other factor is that we are air mailing all the way from Cape Town! Perhaps in a few years we will manufacture in the US. However in total there will not be much change in the total price. All you need to know is that it is medically healthy for baby especially having that optimal squat position and if used as prescribed you in fact save the monies spent several times over in unused diapers. Q: What holds it on the potty? Does it slide around or is it secure? And how does it do with boys peeing- Good splash guard or does pee end up all over?

I have an older model and it is a little heavy, it doesn’t slide around. The bottom of it dips down a bit into the toilet so it feels secure. I can’t speak to boys peeing but as my oldest daughter got bigger (like after turning 3) and could hold a lot of pee she somehow could get pee on the floor because she wasn’t sitting on it properly. She is almost 4 and should probably stop using it. All I know is my 2nd daughter just turned 2 and has been pooping on it consistently for months. She tells me when she needs to go and I help her on it. I’ve taken it traveling. It’s lasted, ordered it Jan 2018.
