Transporter Panel Loader Commuter Backpack, Black

I had never heard of Osprey before, but I recently had a chance to try some of their bags. Apparently they have been in business since 1974 and are known for producing some very high quality backpacks and other bags for people with an active lifestyle. On their website it says "We'll repair or replace any damage or defect for any reason free of charge - whether it was purchased in 1974 or yesterday". That's a pretty good warranty and proves that their products are top notch. When I took this Transporter Panel Loader Laptop Backpack out of the box, I was a little surprised at the material used on the exterior. At first it seems like a cheap plastic coating that might get easily damaged. But after doing some reading, I realized this is the TPU coating that is mentioned on the product page. I believe this coating is what makes the bag water resistant, and it's also supposed to make it more durable. After reading about their lifetime guarantee, I'm not worried at all since I know that if it ever does get damaged, they will repair or replace it. This is the backpack to choose if you want to carry a lot of stuff with you. It can accommodate at 16-inch laptop as well as documents, your phone, clothes, and just about anything else you want to put inside. If I'm taking a trip that will last for a week or longer, this is the backpack I will take on the plane with me. I'll put most of my clothes in a checked bag and put everything else in this bag.

This backpack (I purchased mine in black) does not actually look like what is pictured in the product photo here. Instead of a textured waxed canvas or rubberized look, the backpack looks and feels like it's made from shiny smooth vinyl - like a cheap kid's raincoat or a trash bag. No doubt, there's probably some legit water resistance here, but I would've preferred a much more subdued textured matte finish. Otherwise, it is functional. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but it does the job. A pleasant surprise, not apparent from the product photo, is that the backpack collapses relatively flat for storage (or if you're not carrying much). The long/wide handle on the top of the bag is nice too.

This laptop backpack from Osprey is perfect for anyone who wants to carry a laptop in addition to other things, but doesn’t want something bulky. This backpack can fit a 16 inch laptop and still has room for a lot of other things as well. It is super roomy, but somehow maintains a slim profile. I got the navy color and it is so beautiful in person. The outside is water-resistant which is great in case you are waking in the rain, you don’t have to worry about the contents or even the bag itself getting ruined. This bag has a lifetime guarantee, so if anything goes wrong with it, the company will fix it. I like all of the internal pockets and it also has an external side pocket for a water bottle. The zippers open and close easily but stay closed unless you manually open them. This is a higher priced backpack, but it’s quality and sturdiness is definitely reflective of its price.

We have been fans of Osprey for a very long time. We have about 10 of their packs in all sizes and I was excited to give this one a try. As with all Osprey products, this pack feels great on your back and it is well ventilated. I have a long torso and I was pleased that the straps leave enough room for it to fit very comfortably. I really like the fabric it is made with and the venturi blue color really pops while still being subtle enough to not be distracting. It only has a large zippered pocket and one smaller one of the outside. I really like how even though it is only 20 liters, the large pocket opens farther down one side to make it easy to load. I think this pack would be perfect for the college student living on campus who just needs to take a few things to each class. It doesn't have enough room to be my daily computer bag and while it does have some room for pens and such, it doesn't have much organization space. You'll definitely want to use some organization pouches for chargers and cables. The smaller back pocket is a little puzzling. The zipper is about half way down the pocket so you can't really take advantage of the whole thing. I'm assured by Osprey's guarantee to repair for free any damage or defect in the product. It is great to have the knowledge that my new favorite bag will be with me for the long term. Couldn't be happier with Osprey as a company. Overall happy with the "Osprey Unisex-Adult Transporter Panel Loader Laptop Backpack" as a great bag for quick trips.

I own many Osprey bags and I've never been disappointed. This new line of Transporter bags, however, is my least favorite so far. I ordered a handful of different bags from this line, and while they are just as versatile and user-friendly as the other lines, I really don't like the outer material. The best way to describe it is a cross between rubber boots and a pliable silicone. As a result of this material, the bags are probably the most water resistant you will find. However, they look and feel cheap. Upon testing, I honestly do think these bags will hold up to significant abuse without ripping or breaking, but I have a hard time getting past the aesthetics. I removed one star from my rating because I don't like the look of the material. Aesthetics are a personal issue and it's entirely possible that others will love this line for the exact same reason that it isn't my favorite.

Mi mochila de diario. Aunque no es la típica Osprey me apetecía algo más sobrio para el trabajo , y aunq tenía mis dudas por ser un diseño tan diferente , en términos de calidad sigue la línea de la marca . Mochila impoluta después de varios meses de tute y con espacios suficientes para mi día a día . Recomiendo su compra si el diseño es de tu gusto
