Are the Zeiss Terra Ed 10x42 waterproof and fog resistant ?

They do have water proofing...but I go with water resistant. My binoculars are new, so I haven't used them much yet. I don't know about the fog resistant feature.

I’ve heard that 10x is difficult to keep steady. Do you have trouble keeping the binocs still enough for good images?

I don't, and I'm age 58. There is a technique to use for keeping binoculars steady that involves placing your thumbs against your face under your cheekbones. This helps greatly to steady the binoculars. I have no trouble getting a good view with my Zeiss 10x32s.

The product dimensions for the zeiss terra ed 10x42 binoculars says 8.9x9.5x3.1. sounds huge to me. are they that big or is that the size of the box?

That is with width x length x thickness. It sounds big but are very compact. The best binoculars I have purchased over Nikon, Leopold and Vortex for the money hands down. You will not be disappointed in the clarity. Shawn Thompson
