The outside gets very hot .
I've burnt myself on the kettle twice in a week forgetting its stainless steel. I should have got a plastic one. Becarful Guy's.

It's good, but there's a couple of things I'm wary of.
Firstly the issues that let this kettle down a bit (I compare to my existing, so you can compare to what you're used to using):This kettle is noisier than my present one - which is admittedly more expensive a model by some margin. It's not too bad though. It's a kettle! You have to boil at least 0.6ltrs - the existing kettle manages 1 cup. That adds up over time!My BPA plastic-free kettle doesn't get hot outside, this one does. The temp/on-off touch button locations are where you may put your thumb (you can see in the pictures) - you will want to ensure that you aren't switching it on by accident. Which I did when it was empty without realising. It's not the most sturdy on its base, but it's more than acceptable. Now for the good:This did beat my other 3kw kettle to the 100-degree race though (although it's new of course).Existing kettle: 155 seconds. This one: 140 seconds. This was for .75 litres (2 full mugs). The keep-warm and temp features are handy, it even shows the temp the water is at present, which I think is a nice touch. The RED LED that shows the temp is also clear. It's not the most stylised kettle you will find, but it's nice enough.it has a removable filter on the spout as shown. Always handy in hard water areas! The lid opens and closes easily enough, with a nice open top for filling up.It poured nicely. It's not bad overall, I, of course, looked at other reviews of products by this manufacturer and found some quality issues - which many have - but I am always slightly wary of electronics from manufacturers I am not aware of.All that said, it's getting a solid four stars from me - but would I buy this one at £39.99? Hmmm. I am not sure. I spent a bit more on a kettle from a known reliable manufacturer the last one of which lasted a good few years (though they're not without their issues either!) and this one hasn't ultimately changed my mind. You can get some nice kettles for that money.Still, if it proves reliable, it's still decent value for money!⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

Works fine and seems sturdy
The kettle seems sturdy and well made. I found it easy to set up and use. It looks pretty and the overall finish seems decent. I find it works well - although I can't see a big difference in how quickly it heats water up compared to a standard kettle. The main temperature function is easy to use and convenient to have. It comes with instructions, which I found relatively simple to follow. The main controls are intuitive, however you do need to read the instructions for the keep warm function, but these are relatively simple.A couple of things to note are that the body of the kettle gets very hot - so it may not be ideal if you have young children/pets. Also, it's worth taking care not to go past the maximum fill mark when using the kettle as I found it starts to spit out hot water as it comes to a boil. At the current asking price of £33.95, it feels a bit on the expensive side, but I think it's okay value.I like this kettle overall and would recommend it if you're looking for a kettle that allows you to set and see the temperature.

A stylish kettle which will no doubt last a while because it is clearly well put together
This kettle has been well made using superior quality materials and it looks stylish too. Although it is made of stainless steel and holds up to 1.7L of water, it didn’t feel over heavy when lifting it. The handle is well balanced with the body of the kettle and it felt comfortable and secure to hold even when full. The handle is also heat resistant and doesn’t become hot when boiling water. It is a quick boil kettle and only takes 5 minutes to boil the full volume to 100 degrees. If you needed to, you have choice of heating the water from a temperature of 40 degrees through a range up to 100 degrees. The temperature can easily be selected by pressing the relevant button on the top of the handle and there is a light to indicate the selected temperature. The switch to turn the kettle on/off is also situated at the top of the handle and is easy to press. The kettle also has the function to allow you to keep the water at the selected temperature for up to two hours although I’m not sure when you’d need to do this and as another reviewer has stated, it would seem very wasteful of energy and money nowadays when we are all trying to cut back.To fill the kettle, you press the black button on the lid and the lid flips open so you can fill the kettle at the tap here and not from the spout. The button stays cool even when the kettle has boiled. The water fill window is below the handle and the volume markings are clearly visible. The kettle sits on its electric base and can swivel 360 degrees.Overall, this is a stylish kettle which will no doubt last a while because it is clearly well put together. The price at just under £40 seems to be on a par with other similar kettles – perhaps seeming a little more expensive but I think this might be due to the quality of its construction and the materials it is made from.
