Review: Great to top up faded colour - I have my hair professionally coloured blue every few months. My next appointment is a month away and I had an event this weekend I wanted to look nice for but didn't want anything that would damage or affect my existing dye job. Bought this with some skepticism and did a test strand. It worked a treat to brighten up my faded and washed-out bits, so I did my whole head in turquoise and then painted darker blue and purple accents in over top of it. It worked really well and it left my hair soft and super conditioned. I know it will wash out very fast but that was a bonus for me. It will do the job and make my hair look nice for the event this weekend. My natural hair colour is a dark auburn and I have it bleached to about a 6 so it's pretty pale yellow before my dye goes on, and over the months it fades to both a greenish yellow and silvery white because I have three different shades of blue and purple. The L'Oreal mask went on easily and patched in the faded parts and brightened up the blue that was still holding on. 10/10 will buy again!

I have very long hair about 25-28” and only had one tube of dye, so I had to add equal parts of white conditioner to dilute the color for A softer look. Before dying I had toned my hair so there weren’t any orange or yellow pieces. And the dye turned out terrible. The platinum hair pieces turned pastel purple and it was very patchy even though I soaked my hair on the solution and double checked my placement. I absolutely hated it and it came out easily with a baking soda and developer solution, though it did leave a TINY hint of green on the platinum strands. So if you’re going for a soft pastel pink look make sure your hair is WHITE BLONDE, and yes it does wash out eventually and it actually it doesn’t hurt to try, witty pink color you don’t even need to do a bleach wash to remove the color. I shower once maybe twice a week with color expensive safe shampoos and conditioners but sadly the pink faded quite quickly after the first wash it turned into a pink toned blonde shade on the roots only. My ends remained the same shade of pastel pink. I don’t recommend using the soft pink dye struggle from the bottle you won’t get pastel pink at all, it’s too potent. The soft pink shade also does not have a purple undertone like the pink shade in colorista. Soft pink held onto every single strand and didn’t leave my hair patchy looking with odd purple spots like the pink dye.

I was honestly really impressed with this hair dye. I have natural brunette hair with a blonde halo (its an inch of bleached hair around my hairline.) and its pretty healthy. I have been highlighting my hair for the past 6 years and for the first year or 2 I would have my stylist dye it professionally. This was my first time dying my hair at home and I am very happy with the results. I dyed the blonde parts of my hair as directions stated. I wanted blue hair and liked the colors the box said it would be. It ended up being more of a purple that wanted to be blue really bad but just didn't make it. I really liked the color tho. The product itself comes in a white tube and the dye itself looked purple when applied. It turned out as a soft but still strong purple that could be considered indigo. I wish it was a more vibrant purple but if I wanted that in the first place I should have bought purple dye. When it says semi permanent it means it. Considering many people said their color lasted 4+ washes mine faded to a more of a light purple after 1 and faded almost all the way to now just a very soft purple that's hard to see at 2. It wont stain unless you don't clean up the dye with in 20-30 mins of getting it on something. It came with a brush and many gloves which I really liked. This would have been a 5 if the color was more blue. If I could give it a 4.9 I would. Overall if you want more of a soft purple that will fade nicely and is affordable buy this. (both photos were after 1 wash)
