DEWALT 6 Inch Bench Grinder, 3,450 RPM (DW756)

Heavy duty, no lag on start up. I had a 3/4 HP I bought, and could not find a wire wheel that would fit. I returned it, and bought the Dewalt. I ordered a wire wheel for it that was made for the tool. It's a little tight but works fine, I'm sure as it wears down it will fit a bit better

The grinder has no vibration and has power to do any grinder job. It is a little higher price than the off brand models but is well worth the higher price for the quality built grinder.

This is a great grinder. My son is very pleased with it. He was so happy when he opened the box for Christmas. The shipping was fast. The pricing was around average, but the quality of the product is worth the price. My son is very pleased with it, and every man should have one of these in their shop.

So far, this has been working out great. It takes a little time to set up, but then just works...Starts up reasonably quickly, isn't too loud, is easy to reach the power button, and has enough power for simple grinding that I've been doing.The spark arrester doesn't really work, as the sparks travel all the way around and shoot right back down onto your hand, but I don't know if other grinders have solved this when grinding steel, either.

The wheels that come with it are not a perfect fit, and you have to be careful to make sure they are centered or it will vibrate badly. Use good wheels, make sure they are centered, and it works perfectly. It is also difficult to tighten the nuts holding the wheels on, as there is no way to stop the shaft from rotating when trying to tighten nut. Most grinders have a hex or screw slot at the end of the shaft so you can hold the shaft stationary while tightening the nut. Not this one! For this I deduct 1 star.

I have 3 bench grinders, and over 40 years have gone thru a few. The last one was bought on a lark for cheap, was rated for 1/3 hp, it was noisey and burned upwithin a year. Turns out it had a little motor in a big housing, and I got fooled. I was wary of the Dewalt, but I have a few of their tools and I'm pretty happy with them. I've run this bench grinder for a few months now, and I've worked it pretty hard a few times and it has plenty of power and doesn't get hot. The wheels that come with it are OK. But this thing is QUIET. My other bench grinders are Baldor and Makita; expensive grinders, and this is the quietest of the bunch.

This is a Dewalt product which says it all. Powerful and doesn't take much room on my tiny work bench. I sharpen my mower blades , paint scrapers and other equipment. And was at a great price.
