Blue Sea Systems 8033 LED Indicator Light - Amber, 12/24V DC

The light is not very bright, but it gets the job done for what I needed it for. Sometimes you have to block out any incoming light just to make sure it’s on, but I’ve never not been able to tell if it’s on once shadowing it.

These are nice and compact little lights, although they are very dim when only using 12 volts. I used them as neutral indicators on my boat that I just rebuilt. They're so dim you can barely tell that they're on in the sunlight. Doesn't make them bad lights, I'm sure they'd be much brighter of you use them in 24 volt applications. So beware of you are buying them to use with only 12 volts.

This led indicator light is a FIRE HAZZARD ,it works ok for a while then it starts to dim and the inline resistor gets to hot to touch. I replaced one exactely like it that did the same thing ,there is a red and amber on the same panel and they are fine it's only the green leds that go bad.

So it says it is 12 to 24volts. Not even close. I tryed useing a 12volt battery and instantly fried it. Oh and yes I connected it correctly.

Used as glow plug lamp. Not as bright as i expected but works as it should

I wasn’t expecting much for 3 bucks…but more than what I got. At 12 volts you have to be looking direct on to even see the light…at first I didn’t even think it was working, any angle to the side and no light. At 24 volts it’s brighter but not by much. It’s too inexpensive to send back so I’ll play around with the resistor and see if I can get it to illuminate better at 12 volts. No matter the voltage if this was used outside or in sun light you would not be able to see it. It works…just not very well and not up to my expectations for Blue Sea Systems which usually make good stuff….3 stars.UPDATEJust recieved the 120v version...same problem! Totally useless. Unless its dark and viewed directly on you can not see it. Not impressed.

This is a very small lamp. It maybe hard to see for my use on battery box.

Installed light to let me know when my Torque Converter was locked up :-)
