Perfect pizza
Amazing item for any word fired oven. Keeps wood burning evenly without logs falling down. More even distribution of heat and flames going towards the dome.

Works to keep soot off pizza
One of the hassles of a wood fired pizza oven is the ashes. No one likes a big bite of ash. They seem to get everywhere. You can brush the floor before putting the pizza in and that works well. However, as you slide the pizza around, you are constantly disrupting the fire and some of the ashes are bound to get on the edges. A little bit helps make the pie seem authentic wood fired, but a bunch, because you hit the fire by mistake, is not so good. This barrier works really well. After you slide the fire to the side, you slide this barrier under the fire with the holey side toward the middle. Then when you brush the ashes to the back or side, they stay there. No more hitting the fire as you turn the pizza and they come out with just the right sprinkling of ash.

Nice quality steel
Love itDesigned to do the job and it does

Expensive
Basically this product is a bent piece of stainless steel plate. It is heavy duty and I use it to keep direct heat from my pizza while cooking in my wood fired brick oven. It does the job, but I feel it is way over priced.

Warped Out Of Shape After 3 Uses
I purchased mine directly from Il Fornino when I bought my oven. Within just a couple of uses it unexpectedly warped out of shape. Still technically usable...for now.
