OK Team DIY,The filter set on the left was a no-name that I bought and had plumbed in by a pro 5/6 years ago.A few months ago the housing on the right side cracked and developed a slow(but getting faster by the day) leak. To remedy it I bought at least 5 different housing set's, from everyone, including the big A, and not one fit. The threads just did mesh(who knew??).I eventually bought the iFilters Whole House Filter 2 stage set, the beautiful one on the right, called 2 plumbers to get a price on installing it. You know, an easy sweat the copper fittings job, 1 hour maybe 2... Lowest price was $450.. and this is Fall 2022 and with wages not keeping up with the price of $2-Buck-Chuck, I blanched!! I decided I was gonna SharkBite this piece of art. And so I did.I generally hate plumbing, rather pay a plumbing technician an arm and a leg to do the work, but not an arm a leg AND my $2(and rising)Buck Chuck budget. So after 3 or 4 SharkBite you-tubes I "went for it"! And guess what! IT WORKED!! Was easy, no skill's involved, $54 + tax for this masterpiece of filtration, about $40 of shark bite and I'ma done!!!The iFilter has a name, a support network for replacement filters and presumable if and when there is a failure, replacement parts. Designed in California (so was I) this is really a great find.Good luck to you all!Originally bought in 10/2022...replaced on 5/2025, the housing eventually developed a teeny, tiny drip. As I had really been happy with my unit, and after searching and researching other systems(+++$), I decided to replaced this now drippy unit with the same one.The drip was from the first filter housing and after total replacement I dismantled the dripper and discovered the source.. A tiny fracture on the inside of the upper housing, perhaps needs a redesign(?) The 3rd photo shows the top of the housing and I believe the drip emulated from there. The 4th photo, with extreme close up you can just make out the tiny fracture on the inner circle of the inlet side of the housing.Also I dont know the exact pressure my water supply is so maybe that was a contributing factor.Still for $45 I consider it a great value...

Works great for the motorhome filtration system coming in. The only problem is is trying to find the O-ring to fit it. Does anybody have the number or where I can buy them?

Careful on install. Be sure to use PLENTY of Teflon tape on the fittings connecting to water connections on filter housing! They will leak if not overly sealed.Seams to be nice quality other than that.

They built this two-stage water filter to last! Nothing else about it is good. Where should I start? Leaks, leaks, and more leaks. You can't seal the inlet or outlet of this device using Teflon tape. You will tighten your fitting until it splits the manifold wide open before you get a seal if you use Teflon thread tape. I believe that comes from the female thread on the device being oversized compared to National Standards. Even with my brand new brass fittings, I had to screw them to 100% thread engagement with high-tech thread sealant to stop the leaks at a mere 60 PSI. Two extra trips to the hardware store to upgrade the sealant. And this thing is rated for 70 PSI or so? The O-rings seem to be holding, but this is the other part. Carefully worded details of the device in their advertisement on Amazon tell you that you can get their replacement filters, numbers, so-and-so. Yea, for $25 a pair. I bet they want to sell them to you. That's twice the cost of standard-sized filters. If you read the Amazon advertisement for the replacement filters, it claims they fit standard 2.5" X 10" Housings. That's a lie. It would probably never be an issue except that the cartridges that come with the device aren't good filters. The 5-micron sediment filter is OK for that purpose, but the 5-micron carbon filter is crap. I use a 1-micron carbon filter for a second stage, followed by a .5 micron filter in stage 3 to remove all traces of chemical odors and most cysts, which pass right through their 5-micron filters. I get out my 2.5" X 10" super fine filters and insert them. Imagine my dismay when I can't even start the canister screw thread with a 10" filter in the canister. Their inferior filters are shorter and aren't compatible with any other unit I've seen. So, I'm telling you that this unit requires Proprietary filters that cost two or more times the national average price for filters. I feel this seller is dishonest, as is the manufacturer, for deliberately concealing and obfuscating this information. The people who wrote reviews and answered questions about this item claiming they used 2.5" X 10" replacement filters are lying to you. You can not screw the canister on the device with a 10" filter. They might have bought them and discovered, as did I, that they would not fit and never bothered to correct their review. But industry-standard filters will not work in this device. Also, a common complaint is that the brackets are flimsy. They are thinner than they should be, in my opinion. I suggest you look elsewhere. I'm a 50-year maintenance mechanic, and I promise you will be furious before you're through sending this thing back. Amazon owes me an apology for allowing this seller to foist this product on their customers with no warning or apology.
