Cardo Freecom 4X
Best purchase and favorite motorcycle 'accessory'. People complain about how difficult these are to install, but the truth it, you're just a little slow. These took me about 10 minutes to install for the first time, including the removal of the padding in my helmet, the installation of the cardo, the wiring, and reinstallation of my helmet padding. There are many youtube videos that you can watch if you're confused, but it is really self-explanatory.The speakers are great and very loud, and will outstand very windy conditions on the highway at 75% volume. The audio is great, though the bass is a little weak since the speakers can only be so large for these helmets. Worth the money.Concerning communication with other cardo units, the connection process is simple. Just hold the pairing button with your other buddy, and once you hear "rider A pairing" and then "rider A ready", just click the pairing button again and you're all set. You can do it through the app, but it's a lot easier to just pair with the buttons. You can adjust how loud you want your music to be with how loud you want other units to be, so that way the talking isn't as loud as your music, or your music isn't as loud as other units. Very good.

Pretty impressed
A little better than my 10 year old Sena. The sound quality is 50% better. I didn't really think I would use the voice commands, but now that is just about all I use.If I had a complaint it would be having to go through the pairing process, every time I wanted to connect to other riders still using the Sena systems (SMH10R). I was told it wouldn't work at all, but it connects right up and works well. The problem is, once the connection is broken, by powering off or getting out of range, I have to go through the pairing process again.Maybe my riding partners will eventually switch over.

Cardo for Godzilla
Picked up after my son stated I had to get one for my bike/helmet. It works well with my helmet and installed easily. It connected to my phone without any issues and works well with my Samsung Galaxy. The sounds is very nice and crisp and clear. When a call comes in and I'm talking everyone states it doesn't sound like you are on the bike. That is until I hit the throttle and the growl of the engine. So far I've worn it multiple times and the battery life is fantastic. I haven't had to charge it but did so just in case on my last ride. I rode for over an hour and the battery was still full.

Great device, sounds great, looks great.
I love this product. I used to do the airpods under the helmet and it was a pain in the ass every time I took the helmet off. Sound quality is nice, only thing is that the treble can get pretty high when turning the volume up, I would recommend wearing earplugs while wearing your helmet. Installation was pretty easy, took me maybe about 15 minutes without instructions; pretty easy if you use common sense. The speakers fit perfectly in my Shoei RF-Sr, as they have cut outs that perfectly fit the 40mm JBL speakers. It's also pretty comfortable so long as the wiring is done properly. My phone connects to the headset upon start up every time and there haven't been any hiccups with connectivity. The quality of the device itself is nice too; the latch that hooks onto the lip of the helmet is thick and sturdy, the actual device that powers everything is sturdy and stays on the connecting piece really well so I never have to worry about it falling off while riding. There's also the mesh tech for when you're riding in a group, but I haven't been able to use that. The only complaint I have about it is when using "hey, siri", i have to say it a couple of times. It might be me having to use my big boy voice or it might be the placement of the mic inside the helmet. Either way, it's still a great and convenient piece of tech to own if you're a daily rider.

Great tool, easy hookup.
great tool! Lasts upwards of 7 hours of continued use as a music player at medium-volume (between 8 and 11 volume through my phone's player.) It connects to the phone quickly, and is exceptionally clear when taking calls. Though i haven't had a chance to try the microphone for calls. It also doesn't have any issue hearing my commands when using the cardo voice commands to switch songs or raise/lower volume. It does struggle a little bit with making calls though, but i'm going to chalk that up to my own error.

The cheaper spirit HD works way better and is louder!!
I own a spear HD it’s crazy. It’s way cheaper and the sound is so much better. This is not the same. I don’t care what they say about the upgrade the JBL speakers the spirit HD booms a lot better than these. It was the first time I took it out on my new helmet and now I want to return this and get a spirit HD the only problem is I put the sticky amount on my brand new helmet so now that’s gonna be a pain in the butt to get it off. Even the scrolling thing wearing gloves does not work well don’t even get me started on the voice commands that did not do anything when I said change music change volume did not do anything. I believe you have to say hey cardo first which I did. It’s weird because it worked in my house once I was on the bike did not respond to me at all. I want to return this get some of my money back and n by a spirit HD, which I already own.About 3 weeks later still using freecom 4x and still not satisfied def returning and getting the cheaper cardo spirit hd dont waste ur hard earned money buying this hunk of junk. Hands free sucks I say turn up the music and it turns on radio and half the time the hands free does not work at all. It’s just not worth it.

Better than the Sena 60s!
I had two sets of dual pack Sena 60s’s before I gave up and switched to Cardo. What a breath of fresh air! I can actually hear my wife over Bluetooth coms and it works great with my Harley for Apple Car play. I did play music through them as well on the freeway and the audio quality was better than I expected. Great job Cardo! What I don’t like coming from Sena is the usability with gloves on. Maybe I just need more time but I find the buttons to be super stiff and the volume wheel is also not easy to use with gloves.

Great!
Easy install and clear sound quality from the JBL speakers. Volume controls are easy to use even with thick winter gloves. Good build quality for the money. Been using it for over a year and have no complaints. The battery lasts all day on a single charge.

Excellent Sound, But Unreliable Voice Commands
The product delivers great sound quality with impressive clarity, and overall performance is solid. However, the voice command feature is quite inconsistent. At times it works flawlessly, but most of the time it fails to respond as expected. I tried several suggested fixes and tweaks from online videos, but nothing made a noticeable difference. Eventually, I found myself relying more on the physical buttons. Deducting one star solely for this issue.
