I have a bunch of 4" grinding wheels but they have a 5/8" hole. The grinders I have require a 7/8" thru hole. Will this grinder work with the 5/8" ?

This grinder accepts 4" discs with 5/8" holes. Anything bigger won't fit.

I just bought a core bit in order to drill a hole on the grainte countertop. I am looking for the tool for this core bit. May I use it with a core bit to drill a hole on Grainte? Thanks.

I am not 100 % sure that you could. I am not familiar with any type of hole drilling done with this. I would guess a hammer drill would be more along the lines of something you would use.

will this cut through 20mm braided steel cable with the disc provided or do I need get a different disc or grinder?

I have cut cable with mine. Do it slow if to fast with a hard press cable might flare out.
