Works so much easier than green bannas
Although this product doesn't list it it is excellent for medicinal use for people who have had their colons removed. Green bananas help slow everything . So we use it on oatmeal every morning for my husband and it helps him absorb his medications that he has to have for his heart as well as give him plenty of time to function and do things without always having to run to the bathroom. It has a great taste when mixed in with the oatmeal. Although we have put it in an instant breakfast drink too and it's helped. So for those of you that may have physical issues that are looking for something to slow the gut down this is a great product and it's organic and we've been using it for 3 years.

Easy to incorporate into diet
I'm currently doing a low fodmap diet, which includes very small amounts of resistant starches. Resistant starches are converted to small chain fatty acids (SCFA) in our large intestine and they are essential to gut health. After learning about SCFA I ordered both banana flour and butyrate in capsule form. I was worried that the banana flour was going to upset my SIBO but after a week of using 1 Tbsp in my daily smoothie I have not had a bad reaction (no bloating, pain, or burps). I have taken the butyrate capsules only twice so far and have not reacted badly to them either. I've also used the banana flour in a batch of muffins (ratio of one part banana flour to 3 parts gluten free flours) and the muffins turned out delicious. More detail: I have yet to be able to find a reliable source for recommended daily intake, recommended duration for supplementing, or how to know exactly how many grams of resistant starches you're ingesting in the banana flour. Based off the info I did find, and my super awesome calculations, I believe that 1 Tbsp of banana flour contains 3g (3000mg) of resistant starches.

I'm Obsessed! Gluten Free! Low Oxalate! Low Histamine!
I'm going crazy making all kinds of cakes, breads and pancakes. I was beyond over joyed to learn that not only is green banana flour gluten free, but even better it's low in oxalates and not likely to cause a histamine reaction from Mast Cell Activation! And it's fun to use. The recipes online aren't very exciting so using cake making principles I'm making flat breads, cakes, cookies and pancakes. If you know how to cook you'll love experimenting. Basically if a recipe calls for one cup of flour, use one cup of this. You may need to increase liquid bit. Experiment. It's fun!

FIVE Stars From A Banana HATER
For most of my life I have been absolutely repulsed by bananas. So when I came across this listing on Amazon, my initial reaction was to keep scrolling, but then curiosity got the best of me and i looked it up. I was surprised to see there were so many health benefits to it so was feeling tempted but didn't know if I could handle the taste or smell. Thanks to previous reviewers though I saw that it is free of that taste and smell!! So all the benefits without those two dreadful factors!! Awesome!! I HATE trying new foods but I figured this was a good compromise. The day it came I made some chocolate chip cookies with it with a recipe I found. I thought they would be a good intro to it. And hopefully make it more tolerable. What I was not anticipating, and shall now "warn" you about, is that everyone here absolutely loved them! The dozen or so I made did not last 24 hours! Wow! I was grateful that what I had read about the smell/taste was true and I was glad to be eating a healthier snack. Another benefit to this is that it is able to be purchased with an EBT card! My only disappointment is the size of the bag. In the beginning I was glad it was small in case I didn't like it, but now that I have tried it twice it is rather a bummer. For only 2 recipes I used almost 2 whole bags. Each comes with a little over 2 cups only. So especially if you are planning to bake with it, i recommend 2 bags at least. I just placed my order for bags 3 and 4!! This may be a great aid to others too, who are looking to eat healthier but struggle to make big changes. Although it may not make bananas themselves less repulsive ;)

Great for pancakes and baking
At first I could not figure out what to do with the flour. I could not find recipes online, just one vegan one for chocolate balls that was OK, but nothing I would make again. I now use it for pancakes. Word of warning, they cool faster with this flour, so watch for the bubbles and flip. Best is half of this flour and half of something else like oat, almond, or even whole wheat or all purpose if you are not gluten free. I use 1 cup of oat flour and 1/2 cup of this flour for banana bread too. It's not fluffy, but it's healthier and still good.

BB date already passed
Good product but when it was delivered, the BB date was already passed. I guess it's still fine to consume it but it's probably lost some of its freshness, quality and nutritional value, which is unfortunate. I'm not going to use 400g of green banana flour within 1 month!
