My butter is hard. Any suggestions on how to soften it?

Mango butter is typically hard when left alone but as soon as it makes contacts with skin it melts instantly. Keeping it at room temperature will help the butter keep its shape but will be ready for use. Definitely microwaving it for a few seconds to get it at the softness you want can speed up the process. If you're microwaving it, take it out of the plastic container so the plastic doesn't melt. If you want to melt it completely, put some in a pot or double boiler and let it sit on a stove on medium heat for about ten minutes.
